I have a Suzuki GSX750F ''91 it runs on the choke but once warm will not tick over, also when riding it the other day it would not go above 60mph anyone got any ideas what might be wrong with it?

I think you are saying it sputters but won't run. Once it attempts to fire open the choke or it may flood. My 359 start:
Cold: pull out choke control, pull starter (usually twice) while listening for attempt to start. Once it fires push choke control in and
continue pulling (usually once more).
Warm: pull out choke control (sets fast idle), push choke control in, pull starter.

Once flooded these are a bear to start.
When you are on the bike and riding do you still have the choke out? And stop spraying starter fluid into the carbs..bad bad bad.... bikes start with out that stuff and if you need it then something is wrong.. your gonna mess something up doing that....let me know about the choke and we will go from [email protected]
It depends on the tempature, if its pretty chilly out yeah. Try easing the choke in slowly, and when it will idle at about half choke go aheand and take off but run the bike easy for a few minutes then close the choke.
Not for sure but u might try to re jet the bike.i own a 98 suzuki bandit 600s and it also is really cold hearted. those bikes are unfortunately known for that problem.not that it was much help but u might try contacting Dales Holeshot Performance he specializes those types of bikes he also sells the jet kits. i would also try to adjust the idle slightly higher hope this at least helps
u have the mixture screw wound in to far. its normally located on the bottom of the carb. try winding it out half a turn at a time once the bike has warmed up. also turn the idle screw out a quarter of a turn at the time its in to far thats why it idles at low revs. the choke is needed to keep the air fuel mixture right thats why u are having to leave it on for so long. hope this helps.
