When do you have the motorcycle servoused my bike has 2400 miles only. and do have to put water in the radator.

Your first service should of already been done. Normally the dealer will do a routine service and inspection between 500 & 1000 miles. You add Honda coolant only to the cooling system when ever it needs it @ the coolant reservoir.

I have 2005 chrysler cross fire and a wrench from service A with 600 after it came on what service is that?

It's called the FSS, and it tells you how long before your next scheduled serice SHOULD be. It means that you have 600 miles until you need an A service done to your car. Once it is done by a licensed Chrysler dealer, it will be set to 7,000 miles to the dealer, and will come on occasionally to remind you.

Go to the chrysler page and look up a manual for your 05 crossfire, page 106. All the information is located there and on the next few pages. Hope that helps.

Please rate me, thanks!

Hello I have e ninja 08 250 and in the morning when is a little cold, I used the ckoke but the iding doen't go up.What i should do ?

My 2009 does not idle up right away either . I usually just hold the slightest pressure on the throttle for 10-30 seconds till it idles up or starts to idle by itself. Like my Honda's the ninja is cold blooded and just likes to be tended when cold. I only have 600 miles on mine so I have not had a lot of experience with this model. A good source of information can be found on the website : ninjette.org.

8000 mile service for honda vfr800 vtec motorcycle

The bike should be serviced every year even if mileage has not been reached. If your bike is 6 years old and has only had it's 600 and 4,000 mile service it does really need to be done. Coolant and brake fluid require changing every 2 years, if you have been missing this I recommend you get it done. By 8,000 miles you could be looking at worn tyres and brake pads depending on how hard you ride. service would be 2.5 to 3.5 hours and cost about £50 an hour plus vat plus parts.

Need to remove the cam chain on my kawasaki zx6r g1 1998 ninja.how is this done? and how can you make sure timing does not slip out of alignment?

Cam chain replacement is a bit complex for a beginner. I don't recommend it. However, I would suggest the best way is to have a service manual at hand. Go to this site and you can download a free PDF service manual.www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp

The 2005 manual (4th from the bottom), is 11MB. You can go with the '05 manual as the service proceedure is the same as the 1998. The 2002 manual is 80 MB (scanned differently).

Go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your specific bike. You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part and/or the notation "Not Available" is in the description, the part is not in stock. www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrandand/parts.aspx

Do I need an oil change already?

As carbon particles accumulate in the oil, the oil will become more acidic, and it is wise to change it before storage. That said, your bike is barely broken in, I wouldn't worry about it.

Consult you manual, you may want to switch to a synthetic. Pay attention to If your gearcase/clutch uses the same oil sump as your engine, this may limit your choice of oil.

You should follow your manual with the adjustments & such if possible (chain, etc.) especially as things are new and just starting to settle in. Most of it can probably be done by you and your friend with some basic tools. You'll save yourself a lot of $$$. Also you may want to pick up a service manual.

Engine oil question

I was down 1/2 quart. Is it usual to burn that much oil in 700 miles or did the mechanic forget to change the oil at the 600 miles service? Husband bought a duplicate bike and he wasn't down at all. I can see being down 1/2 quart with a total mileage of 1100 miles (maybe) but not in the 700 miles since the oil change. Like a dummy I didn't check the fluids after the initial service. It looks clean, but I'm planning a 1200 mile trip next week and am not quite sure if this is normal...if you experienced guys think its okay, I guess I'll have to make room in my bags to carry oil! Any opinions appreciated...,1. Sounds like the mechanic didnt do his job right. 2. Just have your hubby do it. cheaper and you know its done right.......,,,
