SOURCE: Starter or solinoid?

I never heard of a starter solonoid coming with shims. Did you replace the starter or starter solonoid?
What engine do you have?

you probably are going to need a new flywheel, check if you have the correct starter, for automatic or manual tranny,if the solenoide spin, but if you only get a click you may have bad engine

SOURCE: 2007 chevy cobalt ls won't

Ignition relay or fuse could be the problem. When you turn the key to start do you hear a fuel pump kicking on and or do you have spark when you hot wire the starter (I know it's hard to check while trying to start it)? You can email me back and I might be able to pinpoint it more.

My guess would be the anti theft security system. When this system starts to fail, it turns off the starter from the ignition. The fact that you can hard start it proves this. SOURCE: I have a kymco agility 50 and it won't start. It has no power what so ever, the starter won't turn over and the break light won't light when I pull the break. I checked the kill switch.

Check with a multi tester for voltage coming through the ignition switch lead wires + to switch wire - to ground you shoul get 12volt or higher, with the switch off you should have one live (feed from battery ), on you should have 2 or 3 in and out feed (possibly 2 out one for ignition one for light curuit), or disconnect the switch and check for continuity (12v battery wire and a bulb if you dont have a multi tester between each pin on the switch plug when turned on you should get a curcuit when on.

My kymco xciting 250 wont start. i have not ridden it over the winter. i have gassed it up and charged the battery. when i hit the starter the lights blink on the panel but it will not turnover.

Did you warm up your Kymco during winter? If not then your first priority is to have your battery professionaly measured for cranking power capacity or get a new one..

My kymco zing only kick starts. I have a question- is it normal for the rear light to come on when you turn the key before starting? it seems to me to be a design fault or the fault of the previous owner!...

Hi, I'd check that one of the brakelight switches isn't stuck on, as if it's the park light it should put the front one on as well, some bikes have the headlight/taillight hardwired so come on with ign. on. The starter should have a fuse, check it, if ok, follow the main wires from the starter motor to the solinoid & check power's getting through with a test light (an old globe with a length of wire will do), the solinoid should have one large power cable to it from batt. with full time power, another the same going to starter that get's power when start button's pressed & a smaller one which should get power when start button's pressed (activates solinoid). if it is getting power to the starter when button's pressed, starter probably needs new brushes or just a good clean out, hope this helps.

05 kymco bet&win 250 starting problems.

You need a new battery installed and have it at a full charge. If you needing to jump start it then the battery that is in it has gone bad. When you have the jumpers on all you are doing is giving it enough to turn it over a couple time that is why you need a new battery.

Kymco people 150 when i push the starter button just a clicksound near the battery. The battery is brand new bike starts fine on a kick start.

The starter relay needs replaced. If you follow the + wire from the battery, it goes into a box with a + wire on the other side of it. If you jump power across the two wires, it should start
