I have an Acura MDX 2003 model that locks up in reverse. It will go in reverse and roll back a little them lock up. Almost like it hits a wall. It locks up quicker when you mash gas. Ideas?

Acura what ? MDX , NSX , RL , RSX , TL , TSX ? Probably a faulty input to the BCM - body control module or what ever module Acura uses to control the locks with . Could have DTC - diagnostic trouble code stored . Door Locks Go Crazy 1 Door Locks Go Crazy 2 Door Locks Go Crazy 3
Is your anti-theft security system original equipment or aftermarket? If aftermarket, take it back to the installer for service. If it is an OEM (factory-installed) security system, check your owner's manuals for instructions on how to reset the system.
Take off the trim panel and see if you can see the servo that controls the locks push rod. It may have been disconeted, or broken, the ends are usually made of plastic. Also you will be able to see if it is even actuating when you press the lock/ unlock. Good luck!
i had this problem when i bought my mdx second hand. i called the acura dealer and they gave me a code. you will need ur serial numbers off the sticker on the top of the radio.keep it safe cause when ever u dissconnect your batt it is gonna do it all over again!
when they put the new pads on they should have sprayed them with permatex anti sqeal a lot of techs are lazy and the dont do it bring it back and complain they will spray them
