04 FLSTFI Speedo stoped working

Check the speedo drive on the wheel or the speedo cable.

speedo probably doesn't either?
cable from tranny or actual speedo/odometer head is bad.

You're better of to simply purchase a new speedo. There are places that can replace the face in your speeometer but this work is expensive. The service is primarily for restoring antique speedometers. Just buy a new speedo.

More than likely one of the gears in the speedo is slipping on it's shaft. I have a Mercedes with the same proble. I doubt that this is a fixable problem short of replacing the unit. Contact a speedometer shop in a major metropolitan area and see what they say. If you live in the country or suburbs you're porobably out of luck.

It's unlikely you may have a loose instrument cluster connector unless someone was previously working around that area behind it. If no activity before hand then I'm guessing you may have a deteriorating instrument cluster that needs replacing. You can find people selling in ebay (lower price) or directly from the dealer.

I'd guess I would say,next check for 12 volts at pin 7 withe left turn button depressed and you say it worked,right? No? Check flasher unit for left side.Is your speedo doing strange things to?Check alarm system.Don't know why but anti-theft feature messes with left turn signal and speedo function.Disconnect neg. wire at battery,then reconnect and reset the alarm in usual way for when it goes off.[will go off when neg is reconnected].

my 95 Chevy Lumina Seems to have tjis Similar Problem Especially after Driving in 6+ Inches Of Snow. I have Found that I use a Lot Of Trannie Fluid Check it. That Usually will get my speedo working right again, and Make my car Shift Accordingly

Yes the electronic speedo itself has failed, the input they refer to is the vehicle speed sensor, the speedo can be repaired, send it to a authorized factory repair center, don't go through the dealer they send it out as well, and then 2X the repair bill to you.
