How do I remove the breech block on a .50 cal muzzleloader so I can clear a stuck round?

"a round stuck in the barrel"

From that statement I assume you mean you had a bad load, and when fired the ball when only part way down the barrel and got stuck, correct?

If so, rather than unscrewing the "breech plug", you might want to try the less invasive old time method.

You might try a ".50 cal black powder bullet puller":

Attach it to the end of a cleaning rod, and screw the end into the ball.

The brass ring is non-marring in the steel bore.

Once screwed in good, pull it out!

Or, you might try a "CO2 bullet discharger":

Remove the nipple (if a percussion action), and shoot the blast of air through it, pushing out the bullet (have it pointed in a safe direction!)

Round stuck in magazine tube wont reload a new round

I thought I answered this a while back? You have a 30-30 win or marlin with a round stuck in the mag and you can't get it to move? Is it the right bullet? Take off the end screw and try to bump that thing out of there after removing the spring. You can try to drop the lifter out of the bottom of the receiver, and get to it from there, maybe after removing the end plug, you can get a dowel in there to push it through. Hope this helps.
