How to undo and install front footpegs on a 2000 YZF R6. there isnt a circlip or nut or anything i can see to change them. HELP PLEASE.

your best bet it to order back threw the dealer, but they should offer some kits for the bike threw after-market company's like partsunlimited, lp "lockhart Phillips", and maybe tucker rocky street, at a better price but you may have to buy some parts extra it may not come in a complete kit like the factory offers.

yes they should be the same and mount in the same way/ place. the mounting placement and area are the same and they fit interchangably

hi buddy you take the axle bolt out and pop the seals out with a flat head screw driver and then get a long screw driver put it through the hub onto the bearing and bang it out with a hammer but if it doesnt pop out then you will have to heat the hub up then pop it out buddy any more questions get back to me

There is no way to be sure without doing the download. You can always delete it if in a foreign language. Below is what is available for an R6. Even if the years don't match exactly, the schematic will be 98% the same.

No they are not left hand thead,normal r/h thread.
make sure chain is still on bike and front sproket and then try good rattle gun. if this does not work,put bike in gear and hold on rear brake and use long breaker bar, if still no good will need to heat front sproket nut with oxy set very carefully and rattle off with rattle gun while nut is hot

How to take off and put on a new foot peg on yamaha r6

get the correct size allen key,undo the footpeg bolt,remove bolt,pull peg out,be careful not to lose the spacers on each side of where the peg fits to the mounting point,and be sure to line the spacers correct the little holes go over the bearing on the peg to keep them snug when not in use,(rear peg only)rider peg s dont have this on them.

My brake and rear lights are not functioning on my 2000 r6. what are some troubleshooting tips and how to i change out or check the lights and where would i find a fuse or switch for them

The switches for brakes, one on front brake lever, one on rear brake lever, and as for changing bulbs look at the rear light to see which type of screwdriver is required, undo the screws gently pull of the lens and check/replace bulbs. Check the bulbs first as this maybe the problem, As for the fuses they will probably be close to the battery which is normally under the seat.

broken cable if your style bike has that style system, the cable that attaches to the axle shired off, i"ve had that stripped out also before and had to replace it.

How to remove front right hand foot peg of a 2007 yamaha R6

the foot peg will have a pin going through it to attack it to the rear set and on the underside of the foot peg on the bottom of the pin there is a circlip this needs removing then you can tap the pin through removing the footpeg and return spring.
