Depends on the driving.
If you live where it is really cold ( it gets down to O degrees Fahrenheit), you should probably use a 5W-20.
If the lowest temperature you drive in is 32 degrees, 5W-30.
If you drive in above 50 degrees, you could use 10W-30.
These "weights" ( viscosities ) are standard for most gasoline vehicles.

How often do you change the oil on a 2002 Suzuki vs 800 intruder

Hi, it all depends on the type of riding you do. Mr Suzuki advises 4,000 miles between oil changes. This is OK if you do a lot of miles every time you ride. If you do a lot of short journey's then you need to to do more frequent oil changes. I normally do an oil change every 2,000 to 2,500 miles as I do a lot of short trips. One of my bikes has no cam shaft bearings and I do an oil change every 1,000 to 1,500 miles regardless.

Hope this helps.

Just for my information on oil to use in 800 intruder

Depends on the climate at the time, for example, cold climate or winter riding, you would choose a thin oil, mabey 5W20, then for hot climates, or summer riding, you would choose a slightly thicker oil, say, 10W40, or even 20W50. In extreme heat, i have even run 50W.
Synthetic or mineral oil, is really just a personal choice. My opinion is they are as good as each other.

What type of fluid is to be used for the clutch on an 2004 Suzuki VS800 Intruder??

Hi

your cycle is quite different from a car in that the engine and trans(gears) are combined..so the same fluid lubricates and cools the bike....

being a v-twinn there are good oils out there today and much more inexpensive than before...
in fact many local auto stores and even discount stores have cycle oil...just make certain you get a quality brand like: valvoline, mobil, castrol and for your twinn i'd try a good 20w50.....check your manual for quantity and change the filter as well...some stores are even stocking cycle filters....

good kuck and safe riding
