Where is the thermostat for the carb heater on my Honda CBF250-4 Keihin carburetor?

The carb heater on my Honda CBF250-4 is not working as there is no voltage on the connector pin. The wiring diagram shows that the voltage comes from a thermostat. But I cannot find the thermostat on the carb or bike anywhere. Please advise.

SOURCE: Lose wire with 6Wires connector... need diagrams of pin out

(There are different versions of the ba-200, so I'm assuming they al use the same wiring/pinout...) if you look at the amp on the enclosure(right-side up... so the writin goes left->right): The top left pin is #1, beside it is #2, then #3. The bottom left pin is #4, beside it is #5, then #6. #1 Right speaker positive input #2 Empty #3 12 Volt Constant Power #4 Left speaker positive input #5 Remote turn on / Acc power input #6 Ground Now there's supposed to be a 15-amp fuse on pin #3 (12v constan power).

SOURCE: need wiring and 9pin connector diagram

Dell (Altec Lansing) A425 Subwoofer Pinouts

This is a standard female DB-9 serial port.
Here are the pinouts.

Pin 1 = Left Speaker Out +

Pin 2 = Left Speaker Out - (Common Ground)

Pin 3 = Left Line In +

Pin 4 = Right Line In +

Pin 5 = Left/Right line In - (Common Ground)

Pin 6 = Right Speaker Out +

Pin 7 = Right Speaker Out - (Common Ground)

Pin 8 = Power A

Pin 9 = Power B

Jumper (short) Power A to B to turn on.
If you want a volume control you need to put one on the inputs. You will buy buy a stereo volume control or potentiometer.
Here is some info on how to do this.

SOURCE: need to see the carburetor diagram for a 2000- wont start

I could not locate a diagram of your machine's carburetor. I can tell you, for certain, that the carb does have a rubber drain tube that goes from the bottom of the float bowl and vents to atmosphere beneath the vehicle.
There are three required ingredients required for combustion: fuel, compression, and a spark (at the right time). Try to find out which of these are missing. Loosen the drain screw on the float bowl. Is fuel present? Check the compression - you've got to see at least 140 psi for anything to happen. Pull the spark plug and crank the engine. Is there a spark?
If it has sat for an extended period of time (more than just a couple of months) then the carburetor will be plugged with fuel varnish. It is very easy to think you've got everything cleaned, when the jets are still plugged up. I would take the carb apart and remove the jets. Hold them up to a light source and look through each one. If you can't see through them, there's the problem.

SOURCE: tail light wiring connectors and wiring diagram

A test light checking each connector would be faster and easier to do. Maybe somebody may have a illustration for you but by far a simple test light is all you need with a helper turning on the different lights as you check them out and writing all your findings down

SOURCE: how to tune for millage for hero Honda bike please

when it is coming to mileage TUNING, it covers only carburettor area, for tuning carburettor tuning first you should want to make the engine to run upto 4000rpm and in that engine rpm only you should want to adjust the Air Screw for 1.5 turns and at last maintain the engine idling condition at 750 ± 10 rpm. then check for 100ml test, or else check reserve to reserve check

What type of keihin carburetor suits a FXST 1986-87

That year Softail came with the "butterfly type" Keihin carburetor. Refer to this site for a picture of the carb. http://www.bikebandit.com/1987-harley-davidson-fxst/o/m1504#sch173168 There are several versions of this carb that were used with the latest version being the best one. It had an additional mid-range fuel port in the venturi that solved a "dead spot" problem in the RPM range where most people normally ride. As best as I can remember, Harley went to the Keihin CV type carb in 1990.

If your bike does not have an carb on it at the time and you are not particularily wanting to restore the bike to exact original condition, I'd consider an S&S Super "E" Shorty carburetor. You can purchase the complete kit to change the carb from most aftermarket dealers and some H-D dealers. The original Keihin carb was not very popular with most riders and this is the carb that a lot of them chose to put on the engine in it's place. The newer Keihin CV carb was a much better carburetor and can be installed on the engine but it will require an intake manifold change as well. You may be able to locate one of these later carbs at a swap meet for a reasonable price.

Good Luck

Exhaust systems

must the exhaust be specific to the model is there no way to take an exhaust made for a similar scoot and fit it to the scarabeo? What is your goal? The scooter exhausts offered by Leo Vince and Malossi aren't actual performance systems. People use them because they want to customize the scoot or get more of a growl sound while also passing emission inspections. Most people in the USA never have an emissions inspection on their scooters and are thus free to bolt on any exhaust they choose. If you are looking for performance you need an aftermarket free-flow system like those used for off-road bikes and your only limitation is how loud of an exhaust you are willing to accept. There are plenty of aftermarket exhausts for pit bikes and small dirt bikes that should bolt on to the S100-4T. Personally I would start by looking at mods people have done on the Honda XR70 since it's about the same size engine and uses the same 20mm Keihin carburetor. Of course if you bolt-on an aftemarket free-flow dirt-bike exhaust you will need to replace the existing restrictive airbox with a free-flow K&N unit and either add larger jets to the existing carburetor or switch to the high-flow 20mm PE Keihin or the 24mm Keihin. Either way, the muffler is the easy part it's getting the fuel/air mix right and that's all carburetor work. ,,,
