Hi and thank you for your question.
Stuck in a gear is typically associated with a shifter linkage problem. That is good news because it means you don't usually have to take the transmission apart to fix it. Most likely, you have broken a spring on the shifter pawl. Here is a link to a parts diagram of the shifter assembly. I suspect either 33 or 36 has broken on you. You will have to dig down a little bit, but it is not too terribly complicated.

SOURCE: change a stator

First secure the bike on a lift. disconnect battery.remove standard footpeg.Remove standard shifter. Remove all allen head bolts from outer primary cover. Some bolts are longer so keep track of where they go.Two bolts on the primary inspection cover also hold the outer to the inner primary case, so remove the cover. Now remove the outer primary case. The clutch, primary chain, adjuster, and compensating sprocket must be reoved as a single unit.Once you have done this take a rag and grasp the rotor and slide it off of the main engine shaft.Unplug the stator and remove the set screws holding it in place.Reverse procedure to install new stator.

SOURCE: What is the correct tire pressure for a 2005

38-42 psi is recommended but many riders prefer a lower pressure for a smoother ride.

Harley Dyna Super Glide Stuck in First - Won't Start

Rock the bike back and forth and find the spot in the middle, then try shifting up into neutral.

This will take the loading off the gears (which is normal without the engine running).

Where is dipstick on my Harley 2005 Dyna Super Glide?

It's on the right side of the bike on the corner of the transmission. The oil tank is actually on the bottom of the transmission. You'll see a large round knurled knob. Pull it out, this is the oil fill and the dip stick is on the cap.

Where is the transmission drain plug for my 1999 FXD Dyna Super Glide

The oil drain and the transmission drain plug is on the bottom of the transmission. The oil drain is the one nearest the left front corner of the pan. The transmission is the one nearest the center of the pan.

Where is the transmission dipstick on a 1999 Harley FXD Dyna Super Glide

Look on the right side of the bike and you'll see a large plug that takes a 3/8' hex key to remove it. Check the transmission oil level with the bike standing straight up. Now, if you bought the bike used, some people change the dipstick to a knurled knob type dipstick so they can get it out with their fingers. It should be on the clutch release cover close to where the clutch cable goes into the transmission.

Will the wheels from a 2000 Harley-Davidson FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport fit on a 1999 Harley-Davidson FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport both have dual disc brakes on front?

Check to see if they both have the same diameter axle. Harley went from a 7/8 inch diameter axle to a 1 inch diameter axle sometime around that time period.
