2003 nissan frontier stalls when i slam on the brakes

Check oil level, but might be idle motor going bad. The idle motor kicks down the idle as needed as the rpm dictates. If sudden reduction in rpm occurs the idle motor normally keeps up and motor continues running at reduced idle. Unless its going out on you, then you may experience stalling when speed is suddenly reduced such as hard braking.

98 explorer 4.0 SOHC wont idle and stalls when weather is below 40 degrees. worse when colder. Just had tune up, new airfilter new fuel filter but problem did not get better.

you have a bad idle air control valve. its job is to have motor rpm high until the motor warms up then turn it back to normal.

My car will start and idle fine sometime and sometime it dies and dies when put in gear

Engine stalls cold or RPM fluctuates at idle up and down or dies near idle.

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve but always run a OBD2 fault code as well as the cleaning procedure. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control. If the above cleaning doesn't cure your issues you need to have the computer controlled automatic idle speed control system diagnosed and repaired by a dealer or electronic engine control repair shop.

My bike has no idle. I have to hold the throttle open to keep the engine turning over when stationary. On start up it will turn over on its own but at very low RPM. When it goes for a service i have told...

there should be an idle screw down be the throttle body of the motor give it a turn to the right a little that should raise the rpm a little to keep the bike going

2004 Envoy xl stalls when making turns

this is caused by slow engine idle speed, do the procedure below.
Here is the common cause of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

My car threatens to die during idling...the rpm drops down low and then goes back to normal. It started doing this during driving too. I just had the fuel filter and a few other fuel related things...

Civic '92 engine normal starts then stalls after 2 mins

Ihave the same experience try to remove the idle jet located next to the starting jet. But be careful in removing it as it will break easily ( you will need a flat screwdiver to do it ) clean it with a wire that closest size of the jet. change your fuel filter ang drain all the fuel inside before putting it back. make sure to put some air pressure on each holes on the carb so it flush all unwanted particles inside and pls dont use silicone in sealing the rubbers inside.
