First I'd like to thank Greg for answering my post but I guess I failed to mention that the bike will still turn over and will crank but I got to wait hours for it to do so. And my apologies for not disclosing everything about the problem

'06 vtx 1300 c : engine dies when put into gear

You have one of two things going on. (1) You need to check the kick stand switch, your bike thinks the kick stand is still down. It may have been loosened out of adjustment by vibration. If the kick stand switch is out of whack, it will restart as long as the clutch in pulled in. But as soon as you try to let out the clutch it will kill the engine, if it is in gear. (2) Next problem could be, you need to loosen up the clutch cable a little bit, The clutch control on the handle bar has a screw type of adjuster (clutch cable passes through it ), try loosening it till it's easy for you to move the bike without the engine shutting off. Hope it helps and comment if you need more clarification.

VTX 1300R 07 ran out of gas and won't start, put fuel in it.

Does your bike have a petcock?

If so you have to prime the fuel bowls with gas by opening the pet **** for a minute until the fuel bowls are full of fuel THEN you set your choke if you have a manual choke THEN start the bike.

My vtx starts, it's cold natured, so I start with choke on. Starts Great, but then almost immediately quits and will not restart for 4 to 5 days. Have used starter fluid, starts, burns off fluid and quits...

it is and it is not. the pipes are too big. you need to have the heads looked at as well as you may have burnt valves going on. i know the big pipes look good. god do they look good. get the 1 1/3 in or the 2 in od pipes and put the big pipe sleeves on them. keep that big pipe look and always have bright shiny pipes. you do not have the proper back pressure in the exauhst. have your cylinder pressure chrck as well.

No fuel to carb, I think..

Its seems the the gas is not entering the carburator.
Sometimes if theres water in the gas (since you had filled her up ) one experiences same symptons.
Best would be to clean the carburator but first check the petc o c k if it is allowing full flow of the gas to the carb.
