have you tried having your fuel injectors cleaned on it. the engine might not be getting enough gas at take off. it might also be that your gas tank fuel pump or the other fuel pump going bad

Sounds like the jets are clogged in the carburetor. Try running some carburetor cleaner through it first. If that doesn't help then you will need to have the carburetor rebuilt. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Hello! You have symptoms that point to incorrect fuel pressure.
First have the fuel pressure tested as follows; #1...engine running at idle: 13- 20 psi. #2...key on engine off: 23-30 psi. If pressure is incorrect change the fuel pump.
Does the engine "surge" at idle? If so, check the "fuel injection pressure regulator idle air control valve". Apply a vacuum to it; If fuel flows it is not the problem.

That old gas had sediment in it and you need to remove the tank, fuel pump and filters and change them.
