the battery can be charged whilst still in the bike ,2or 3rd gear as a push start is best ,you can use a jumpstart cable from a larger battery but this can cause problems with other electrical parts so proceed with caution ,but you can do it with a car battery without the motor running and do not over crank the engine to start it if it wont start after a few turns as it would normanly start stop cranking let the starter cool down then try again .hope this helps

The cold pipes means the bike is not firing on those cylinders. Replace all the plugs and start it. Or you will need some elecrical diagnosis. Chaz Moto DC
Initially, try starting with the clutch lever pulled in and / or the sidestand folded up. Additionally, determine if there is a clicking sound. If there is, then it would most likely be the starter solenoid.
If cranking is slow it could be a sign of a 'near to dead' battery.
When cranking on its battery there is a too low voltage and weak or no sparking.
When jump starting or pushing the bike, there is a good spark and the engines fires up.
Check also the spark plugs! And carburettors cleaniness
