Stalls after start up, Stalls when braking, then runs fine after a few minutes

If it stalls when the brake lights come on then the idle is too slow. The high amps of the lights will load down the engine and lowers the idle.

Sometimes that's caused by a vacuum leak near the manifold area.

Sometimes air in the coolant will cause an idle problem. Air will keep the air temp sensor from sending proper info.
Hope this helps.

I have 02 durango started it put it in reverse gave it gas and it died checked the fuses only one 20amp fuse needed change Icgs before the problem info seatbelt light airbaglight abs brakelight on the...

The stall in reverse is most likely unrelated to your problem, unless your alternator went bad, and your battery is discharged. Try charging/replacing your battery. A jump start may not work as Dodge trucks don't like to idle well with a weak battery. Then try starting again, if it runs check the voltage at the battery. You should have 13-14.5 volts, if not you have a dead alternator. If it still won't start, please post some more details.

2000 Durango has no codes and die win hot what would. Make this happen is runs grant til a warm day and if u site. For a bit it will or if you deccellerate and it will start. Right. Back up I can find the...

2000 Durango,No code thats okay we have the symptom that all we need. Stall when hot.So it stall at idle or if you decelerate then it also stalls.and it start right up. The 2000 Durango is equipt with a ISC (idle speed control motor) and this is mounted on the throttle body. This maintains a target idle speed. The ISC also uses a desired MAP for deceleration.Your solution is a throttle body cleaning,or a ISC (idle speed control) motor. This is the only thing that can cause what is described

Cars start but 3 secons after the engine die

mcdevito75 here, 3 seconds after the car stars I'll bet the idle goes way high, if so the fast idle swith / motor could be bad. Or if the idle goes way low, it could be the air Idle, sensor/ motor going bad. Either way have your local repair shop run a scan and see.

1999 dodge durango is hard to start. Starts with rough idle with some backfire, then idles smooth. after sitting idle for a minute it will act as if wanting to stall on takeoff! Have changed the fuel pump...

FIrst have you tried giving the engine a tune up (ie replaced the spark plugs)

Also you need to check the condition of all the vacumn lines on the engine loss of vacumn can cause poor idling.
