1988 suzuki samurai . checked compression # 1 180 # 2 140 #3 180 #4 180. #4 plug was gummed up. Engine sounds good.could it be valve stem seals or head gasket.Has 2 barrel carb.and header smokes bad

the compression is not bad however #2 is a bit low. what did the plug look like on #4. was it oily in appearance or chalky white. if it has an oily appearance then that cylinder is burning oil. it could be valve seals or valve guide clearance is too much or oil rings for that cylinder. the other colour is carbon meaning the cylinder is not burning properly. could be a weak ignition component that affects that cylinder or the cylinder has a lot of carbon build up in it. if it was white in colour then your burning coolant. not sure what you mean by header smokes bad, do you mean at the head if so then you may have something leaking onto it and its burning off.

Is my 81 ts185 a 2 or 4 stroke. Everyone is telling me different things. The bike is older than me. I would assume 2 stroke. But I'm not sure. Please help me.

Deffinately 2 stroke there should be a small oil tank under the seat or one of the side covers. If not mix oil it in fuel tank at 20:1 Regards Jim. Suzuki Technition.

Does my 1983 suzuki 230 shaft four wheeler take transmission oil

yes it does take fluids, 10 weight 30 in rear end about half a liter and like 2 liters in the bottom end of the engne. to put the oil in the rear the screws on the top and take out bottom if u dont lubricate this, you will mess up your whole drive shaft and it will just slip

What kind of gear oil for 2003 rm 85

Use 10w40 motor oil in the gear box. Don't use any synthetic oils, oil marked "EC", or oil with "special" additives. Stick with the major brands; Pennzoil, Quaker State, Mobil or Shell.

Use TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL in the pump. If not using an automatic oil pump, then mix the gas and oil 32 to 1. That equals 4 ounces of TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL to one gallon of gas. NEVER use motor oil in the gas. Only two stroke engine oil.
