Hi, Scott and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Bank angle sensor tripped and ignition/light key switch not cycled to the "OFF" position and then back to the "ON" position.
5. Security alarm needs a reset.
6. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Electric starter shaft pinion gear is not engaging or over-running starter clutch slipping Good luck and have nice a day.

lister for a clicking from the start motor you may need some to help you. if you or your friend hear the click on the starter motor then the motor and it does not turn the engine or goes crunch like its engaged but does not turn,It will need replacing or fixing, if no click this could be the starter relay or the ignition switch or you have a lose wire tot he relay.

What kind of car? Did it overheat severely? Possible timing belt broken and jammed up/bent valves restricting engine movement

I have no power to the ignition when i turn the key

Your battery is not providing enough cranking load for the starter motor. First try cleaning the battery terminals disconnect negative terminal first.

My 2008 silverado won't start battery is charged

No, it isn't an ignition issue.

Check power to the starter motor solenoid.
If this is getting power when cranking, then the issue is with the starter motor solenoid or starter motor. Replace.

It wont start not even a sound i have lights

Check for power at the big cable on the starter motor. The little wire should have power when key held in start posision. If have power to them have someone hold key in start poss & give starter solinoid a knock with hamer if no go knock starter body. If go when knocked need new starter

Turn key wouldnt start

Possible causes, flat battery, faulty alternator, coil or starter motor, though sounds more like power problem, do you have power to lights, radio etc when key is turned on even though nothing happens.

The motor wont turn over i have power to everything else. i turn the key and the motor doesnt even click or attemp to turn

possible starter issue, try to lightly tap starter with hammer, be very cautious when doing so, you will damage starter if you hit it to hard, after tapping starter start car if that does not work another simple possibility is the steerwheel lock, with ignition on off possition turn steering wheel, listen for click, then turn key to start.

No power

You have probably missed re-connecting part of the electrical wiring- probably missed a ground connection..
Check you have re-connected:-
the main power supply via the fusible link (or in line maxifuse),
the battery negative terminal is correctly grounded to chassis/frame,
the motor ground connection to the chassis or battery negative.
