Breaking rocker arms is a result of insufficient movement of the valve before the spring bottoms out and jamming the stem before the full rocker movement is allowed
it can be from the valve guide being positioned incorrectly too high and the valve spring retainer hitting on the end ( most probable)
as it is a 2015 model it should be under warranty and the fix may be a new head under warranty
It is not common for the assembly process to fail but not improbable either as it is done by robots and can be missed during the assembly process
while it can be considered that china machines may be inferior products, they have realised that they have to compete in a savage market and so producing "lemons" is not an option for them
If you care to inspect china made vehicles you will find that many of the makes run equipment made under licence to USA, England , Europe and basically the only thing china is the body and the name

SOURCE: I have an 2002 Jeep Liberty that keeps throwing

yeah it needs a new cylinder I see this all the time. The valve stem guide in the head drops and sticks the valve open the rocker and cam lose tension and thats why the rocker keeps breaking. Take the valve cover off the head that your have problems with. remove the rocker put a socket over the valve spring. gently tap the spring down without loosening the keepers. You will notice that the valve will not return to the closed position. I garuntee this is the problem u r have I hate to give u the bad news.

SOURCE: How to replace lifters on a 360 V8 engine?

I find it hard to believe that it runs fine but, to replace either, you need to remove the intake manifold. Likely you will find both items in the lifter galley. Before dropping a lifter in there, make sure the cam lobe is still good....If the old lifter is severely worn on the cam end, likely it's not. After replacing the parts, but before replacing the valve cover and manifold, turn the engine by hand and make sure that the valve opens and rocker travel is the same as all others.
The r&r is covered in haynes and chilton manuals. One tip is to always use washers on any bolt that attaches the manifold to the heads to spread the torque load and yes, always torque any aluminum manifold to prevent warpage..
If either part has fallen into the oil pan (unlikely) it actually can stay there forever without harming anything.

SOURCE: I replaced the lifters in

1.5 and 1.8 engines:
* Install the rocker arm and shaft assemblies. Tighten the rocker arm shaft retainer bolts to 23 ft. lbs. (32 Nm).

* Check valve adjustment and install the valve cover. Tighten the valve cover bolts to 16 inch lbs. (1.8 Nm) for the 1.5L engine or to 29 inch lbs. (3.3 Nm) for the 1.8L engine.

2.0 engine
* Lubricate the rocker shaft with clean engine oil and install the rockers and springs in their proper places.

* Install the rocker shaft assemblies on the engine. Tighten the bolts gradually and evenly to 21-25 ft. lbs. (29-35 Nm).

2.4 engine

Fig. Rocker arm shafts and components-2.4L engine

* Fit the rocker shaft springs from above and position them so that they are at right angles to the plug side. Install the rocker springs before installing the exhaust side rocker shaft and rocker arm assembly.

* Install the exhaust side rocker shaft assembly in the engine. Tighten the rocker shaft mounting bolts gradually and evenly to 23 ft. lbs. (32 Nm).
* Remove the lash adjuster retaining tools.
* Install the rocker cover and tighten the mounting bolts to 30 inch lbs. (3 Nm).

* Reinstall the spark plug wires to the spark plugs.

Hope helps.

SOURCE: loose rocker arms, does it have hydrolik lifters?or

I assume you have the 4.0L engine. Your rockers are probably worn out where they contact the rocker pivot. I have seen this several times. It is due to low oil pressure. Replacing the rockers and pivots will help the problem with noise, engine not running properly, etc. but it will only do it again unless the low oil pressure problem is fixed. It usually requires replacement of the oil pump to fix it. While the oil pump is being fixed, the main and rod bearings should also be checked. I have done a couple of these where the rockers were completely worn out but there was no apparent damage to the main and rod bearings. I have also done a couple where all the bearings were trashed as well.

Ok so ik I'm posting allot haha but does anyone know where or how to adjust lifters just found out mine r just now needed adjustment in near mount Vernon WA or a price at least haha

In engines with rocker arm valve systems, the procedure I'm familiar with is to remove a rocker arm cover, and (one at a time!) while the engine is running, slowly back off the rocker arm retainer nut or bolt just until you hear the lifter tapping, then tighten it a quarter turn. If you can identify a lifter that is already tapping, tighten its rocker arm slowly until it stops tapping, then adjust it. Do not over-tighten! This can damage the engine.

Listen carefully to how the engine sounds; if it starts to stumble when you tighten a loose rocker arm, you've gone too far. If you cannot get the engine to run well without tapping, you may have too much wear in the valve train and may be due for a head overhaul, or you don't have adequate oil pressure in the lifters in question.
Repeat until all rocker arms are done. Replace the rocker arm cover using a new gasket, then (in a V-engine), repeat the procedure on the other side of the engine.

Wearing safety goggles, or better yet, a transparent face shield, is strongly recommended. Sometimes oil will squirt out a considerable distance from the lifter side of the rocker arm during adjustment, and the direction is not readily predictable.

How to agust tappets on a 250 pre cross flow ford 6

If you have hydraulic lifters(tappets) then you turn the adjusting screw 1/4 turn past the point where there is no noise from the rocker arm. If you have solid lifters, then you'll have to get the cold clearance spec for that engine and adjust accordingly.

Broken lifter arm 96 honda prelude?

Interesting question. If you think a lifter arm, which I presume is also called a rocker arm, is broken, remove the valve cover and find it. All the rocker arms are visible, and should be easy to see.

New lifters on 1998 5.7 seem to bleed and rockers loosen readjusted valve lash and no good

Check the pushrod length, you need to use a micrometer that is long though. Tappet or lifter knock is common with hydraulic lifters. It is annoying but has no real concern for engine damage. You can replace the tappets if you want.

What do i do for tapping lifter

If your rocker arms are adjustable you can adjust that rocker arm by tighten it up a little at a time until tapping stops but,if the rocker arms are not adjustable or have a net lash then you will need to replace the lifter.

03 jeep liberty 3.7 liter v6 the rocker arm keeps coming off and it has an overhead cam wondering what all could be the problem

most likely (as seen in my experience), the valves become slightly bent & they don't travel properly within the valve guide, causing the valves to stick open. It will almost appear to be a broken valve spring. I've seen a handful with this problem. The valve sticks open & the cam lobe doesn't even touch the rocker arm, thus "tossing" the rocker out of position.

Loud rattle noise in Camshaft

First, your engine has rocker arms, if you have a 4 cylinder you have 8 rocker arms, and if it is a 6 cylinder you have 12 rocker arms. Now if it is indeed a rocker arm making the noise, the cause is most likely a bad lifter or a worn cam shaft.

89 Ranger 2.9L 150k mi. Lifter noise, power lose, oil pres zero

the lifter noise might have been a bearing going bad or a piston ring. if you lost power you probably lost compression on one cylinder. Try checking your compression with a compression tester screwed into your spark plug socket. here is a site with a procedure.
