Oilman

I presume you have the 300D diesel. If this is the case, you will need 6 quarts for non-turbo, and 8 quarts for the turbo 300DT. Both include a filter change.

4.3 ENGINE HOLDS 4.5 QUARTS WITH NEW OIL FILTER 4.8 - 5.3 -6.0 -ENGINES HOLDS 6.0 QUARTS WITH NEW OIL FILTER. 6.6 DIESEL ENGINE HOLDS 10 QUARTS OF OIL WITH NEW OIL FILTER.

System holds about 8 1/2 quarts
Once you are using a synthetic oil, that is the only oil you may use from know. Anything else WILL do damage to the seals in the engine. This engine also comes from the factory with synthetic oil. Use a Mercedes oil filter. Believe me please, there is a difference in how oil filters are made and an inferior oil or filter can cause major engine damage!
