My suggestion would be to remove the hose between the air intake and the throttle body, look in side it and see if there looks like carbon buildup inside. If so you may have to remove it and clean it with brake cleaner and a stiff brush. Don't learn the hard way like me, wear EYE PROTECTION!!! can't stress this enough.

SOURCE: I changed the throttle body

I would check the idle control valve. First make sure it is plugged in all the way. Sometimes they look plugged in but push on the plug just to be sure. If it is in all the way it might be bad. Some can be taken out and cleaned with carb and choke cleaner or brake and part cleaner but others have to be replaced. The idle control valve is right next to the Throttle Position Sensor. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

SOURCE: We're is the throttle body on a BMW 318i early

Generally speaking, the throttle body takes the place of the carb, so it would be on top of the intake manifold.

SOURCE: 1994 plymouth sundance with loss of horse power

On this i think you will find you have a pluged cadilac converter. Try taking the bolts out of the pipe going to the convert and move it out of the way so not to restrict the exhaust. You may need to wire it up to the bottom of the car so it wont drag. It is going to be loud but take it for a run if it accelerates like it should you will need to replac the converter. If it doesnt then check for a code on the TPS switch. { Throttle Posions Sencor} Good luck and hope this helps.

Check your fuel pressure under a load. Possible fuel line restriction. Also check the tps for on open signal at WOT
wide open throttle.

I have a 1999 BMW 328i E46 Engine that loss of power then codes P1542 and P0120e. I m trying to find the pedal position sensor is that on the throttle body?

The pedal position sensor is placed by the acceleration pedal under the dashboard if it is left hand driven where your left foot accelerates and if it is right hand driven where your right foot accelerates.

Takes off sluggish between 1 and 2

You need to check your High Air Flow Mass Sensor. If engine stays running when you unplug sensor. Then it's bad. This sensor controls how your throttle responds to your air flow from air box. If not reading good air flow at W.O.T. engine wont respond to Quick acceleration. NO POWER is what you'll get until engine begins to throttle up then it's now running on pure engine power but no throttle response. Try cleaning with carb cleaner or brake cleaner.

Your throttle problem is likely due to a bad throttle position sensor, it isn't "reporting" back to the computer of your change in speed correctly.
Doesn't work as in no output, low output, what.
