I just bought a used 2004 Mazda B2300 and CarFax & AutoChecker reports someone reported believe it was an insurance company to the DMV in another state that the odometer was off. My mechanic and I didn't see any problems but the DMV has the title listed as NAM for Not Actual Mileage. AutoCheck, relying on reports throughout the lifespan of the truck, said they believe the mileage to be correct. How do you get the DMV to correct their records?

Or they mite of changed the clust or odometer with an used odometer with out setting the odometer to show ur cars milage so if they did there suppose to put the ariganal miles on the driver door jam so in other words if its a used odometer it's reading the milage where ever the milage left off of the car that it came off of instead of urs

Testimonial: "Thank you! I hadn't thought of that. Excellent. Unfortunately, no one put that kind of notice, or any other, on my car door. I appreciate the ideas though. Regards!"

Minor accident occurred 2 days after re-insuring our car, although several day's had gone by on renewing our policy the insurance company after deeming the car to be a write off due to its low value...

If you have an accident report from the police department, there should be no issue. This is just one reason that all accidents should be reported if for nothing more than your own protection and of course most jurisdictions require it by law even for minor fender benders. You still can file a report with the cooperation of the other driver, though, and that should certainly be enough because you are both signing an affidavit to the events and the insurance company can't refuse. Your state has an insurance commissioner. Do you want to see your insurer jump? Contact them and make them aware that you are filing a complaint with the state insurance commissioner. If that doesn't get them to change their mind while you're on the phone with them then file a complaint with the commissioner's office. You'll get results and it won't take long.

I'm looking at a 2004 Mazda 6 i. I'm pretty seriously considering buying it, but have some concerns. First off, Blue Book is 9500 or so and theyre only asking 8900 to start(red flag?). Car is in excellent...

Mazda makes a very good vehicle. I would get a carfax report on the car. And also open the doors, lift the trunk, and the hood and look for differences in the paint(evidence it has been in an accident). And if you are very serious about this car then spend the $50 bucks or so and have an independent mechanic to take a look at it. If they will not let you do this then that would be a red flag. With the economy the way it is dealers and private sellers are having to lower the prices to sell the vehicles and the blue book has not caught up with it yet.

Forget an expensive purchase 500 miles away. Are you going there to check it out. Get the VIN # and run it at any GM Dealer and you will know more than it's current owner

2004 toyota sienna airbag system

you might be able to obtain a CarFax report with the details. Also - depending on the location etc of the accident you should be able to obtain a police report that indicates if airbags deployed.

Take the car back to the dealer (hope you purchased it from a dealer). If not plug in an obd II code reader to the diagnostic port. As for the possible flood damage you can check on carfax.com enter the vin and see if it has been reported.
