Change you oil and while you are at it change the filter. Do not run until you have completed. You risk engine damage by loosing too much oil while running it.

My greetings to all Iam from Saudi Arabia and bought 2005 ford free star sport with 4.2 L and i do not know how to get the manual and how many for oil for changing oil with filtter . thank you

you should change the oil every 4000 to 5000 km in that hot climat your van should take a little more then 4 liters of oil so buy 6 liters oil filter part # should be on the filter you could take it off the old one if your doing this yourself drain oil put new filter in and add 4 liters of oil wait 5 minutes check oil level on dip stick add half liter at a time and check oil level again wait few minutes in between for oil to drop down in oil pan for proper readings on dip stick.repeat ontil oil level shows in the hatch marks on dip stick DONT OVER FILL. also fill oil filter with oil before instaling the new one to insure that oil will flow trought engine at startup without having to fill oil filter first leaving engine to run without oil until this happends internaly on its own you may have a liter left after your done ,you can use this for top ups inbetween oil changes .you should also check and replace your air filter at this time .

Amount of oil

The Engine oil capacity on the VL 800 is:

3.2 U.S. Quarts (3000 ml) without a filter change

3.6 U.S. Quarts (3400 ml) with a filter change.

While Suzuki does not expressly recommend a filter change with every oil change, I change the filter anyway. I don't like the idea of leaving nearly a half quart of old, dirty oil in my machine.

Can u change oil filter on Focus 1.6tdci 2009 model without loosing oil.(changed oil but could not get at filter so had to leave it.Or can i wait for next oil change to replace filter. Thanks

Whenever you remove and install a new oil filter you always lose some oil.On this particular model you should expect to lose about half a quart of oil.If you have the capabilities to change the filter then I would definitely recommend it.However, if you can not then it's not going to cause extreme damage to the vehicle, as long as this isn't done all the time.....Hope I could help!!!! rate me accordingly:)

2004 jeep grand cherokee, 4.0, change oil without filter change,

Not sure why the question is even being asked, but you can change the oil yourself in about 15 minutes; simply jack the front end, put a pan under the oil drain plug, open the plug, let it drain, put the plug back in, and add new oil.

Take it to any outlet that changes oil (Wal-Mart, for example, charges about $18, some places charge as little as $15) and they'll include a new filter because otherwise you're running new oil through an old filter, which defeats the idea of the oil change. You can ask them not to put on a new filter, but you'll still pay the base price.

My question is, why would you not want a new filter if you're changing oil.

Let me know if this answers your question.
