SOURCE: DIAGNOSTIC CODES

Here are the possible causes for the PO171 and PO174 codes:

  • Base engine mechanical problem affecting one or more cylinders
  • Check for air leaks after the MAF sensor
  • Check for air leaks in the Air Induction system (e.g., in the intake manifold)
  • Check for air leaks in the EGR system and in its related hoses and/or valve
  • Check for air leaks in the PCV system and in its related hoses and/or valve
  • Fuel control sensor is out of calibration (e.g., ECT, IAT or MAP)
  • Fuel delivery system supplying too little fuel during cruise or idle periods (e.g., faulty fuel pump or dirty, restricted fuel filter)
  • Fuel injector (one or more) dirty or pressure regulator has failed
  • HO2S has failed (it may be contaminated with fuel, silicone or water)
  • Vehicle driven low on fuel or until it ran completely out of fuel

SOURCE: we need to know how to change a valve cover gasket

There are probably 8 - 12 bolts/nuts that attach the valve cover to the cylinder head. Remove the bolts, clean the mating surface, install new gasket, and reattach the valve cover with the bolts.
You may need to remove the following spark plug wires vacuum lines air cleaner assembly oil filler cap

What's the firing order for 2004 Suzuki Verona 2.5

whats the job.?? why must we guess this? key fact (input)
or tell what you did wrong,
or tell why you ask, curious, or just what?
there are many steps in all engine assemble that you need the firing order.

engine on floor, in 200 parts. timing the cam?>
or changing coil packs? (times 6)
we cant guess what's'' UP?

the engine on these cars, are all fired by computer.
so IT knows firing, order and not you. (hard coded in ecu memory)
USA car has 6 coil packs.
but in OTHER countries (instated by u) It might have 3 packs.
or 3 packs in one giant pack. (LOOK and tell me?)
but the mech, must put the coil pack back as he found it.
the coil packs some dont have, the markings on them.
so if removed, you are in a JAM. (not with COPS)
the new pack in a box may be with papers. got that?
I'll pretend you are in USA with USA car.
C.O.Ps means COIL OVER PLUG (x6)

2.5L is the XK6 , in line 6 engine, most are timed
153625
this car is part Daewoo, half Suzuki and part GM.
a small horror that, and bad news really if read fate of Daewoo and Suzuki here. (i sold all my suzuki's )

so here is fact one on that engine.
Daewoo XK straight-6 (marketed as "E-TEC", used in Daewoo Magnus, via GM's purchase of Daewoo Motor)

the book on this car is only $4 on line, real online suzuki
is that too much to pay ?

https://suzukipitstopplus.com/Products/1135-2004-verona-service-manual.aspx

our xk6 sold in the USA has a coil over each plug.
called COPS
and can not be mixed, so again, why do you ask this.?

Daewoo engine, fires just like a 1948 Chevy stove bolt six
26032395-hkt52gi400f4we1nv5hxgewe-2-0.jpg here is where the COPS fit, in those 6 spark wells.

What would cause a 2004 Suzuki Verona quit firing after changing the plugs

If nothing else was removed, did you put the correct spark plugs in it?
Sometimes an off brand of spark plug will cause a problem. I would recommend NGK spark plugs.

Replace spark plugs in a 2006 mercury mountaineer.

a mercury in a suzuki body, or the reverse.?

ill guess, it's a real mercury, don't hear of them, much now...
spark plugs replace the same on all cars.
V8
V6
Inline 4 or 6
OHV,. SOHC, or DOHC.

Only DOCH engines are tricky (deep in wells or so called hemi;s)
some fords are DOCH, even in 1996, so not sure what engine you have, and you need to know that before buying sparks.
or wire sets, at 60k.

My guess, is plain jane OHV motor
they are in plain view. see them.?
look first, and scratch head, can i get to them all, we look and gander and oops, x is in the way or if i use my fancey universal joint
and 24" extension the left rear can be got.
You need to look first, as not all cars have the same OPTIONS.
A/C , ABS? things get in the way, do not mess with ABS ,
or pull A/C lines. (yes, takes training....)

unscrew them , they come out with a SOCKET.
replace and use mfg rated torque, do not over torque spark plugs
20 ft../lbs max,
set the gaps, and do not run magic plugs, get J plugs, best NGK, in platinum tip. Id not run surface fire, plugs, unless under COPS.

goggle changing plugs, Utube same,

I took my 2004 Suzuli Verona in for an oil change and was told that there were three cracks in my oil pan. Can anyone tell what would cause this and where I can buy one and the price.. 2004 Suzuki Verona...

The main thing that would cause cracks in the oil pan would be hitting something or bottoming out. Pans range from about 60 ta 125 dollars new for your vehicle. No clue as to where your from or where you live so I cant give you a parts store right off hand, im sure you can order one online, but the price may be a little higher. Let me know if interested and ill see if I can find the best one for you.
