At an educated guess one cylinder is working (getting hot) and the other has a valve problem allowing the backfiring. Check valve settings or remove the head and check for burnt valve.

SOURCE: rough idle

Clean the idle air control valve in the throttle body and you should also check fuel pressure and test the throttle position sensor. Another thing that you will want to do is to check the timing.

Did this backfiring start after the tune-up? If yes, check firing order of plug wires. Also , if you paid someone to do this, have you consulted with them regarding the way the vehicle is running?

I changed my spark plugs and now the electronic throttle cable light is on and when you turn it over she backfires and hiccups its a 2010 charger sxt 6 cylinders

Sounds like you didn't get the spark plug wires put back in the correct order. Check them to be sure they are on the correct spark plugs.

Why does my trx200sx backfire when I let off throttle it just started this

Dennis, Maybe try changing your plugs, unburnt fuel may be getting in exhaust because of weak plug.. Read the following links, very informative in telling causes of and some suggested fixes on backfiring. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Son has a mazda protege dx runs rough when cold, backfires through intake, gasoline in oil, thinking idle air, but could it be injectors?

Gas in the oil can only get there threw the injector/s. One is stuck open. replace them all if it is worth the car. Back firing, I would check compression on the cylinders first, add a little oil first to all cylinders first, one or more cylinders are dry from the fuel, before putting any more money into it. Back firing threw the throttle body, could be timing or burnt valves.

I have a Yamaha dragstar xvs 1100cc year 2002 as seen in Vidio , it has straight through slash pipes on it , I've had bike 2 months and now it's backfiring loads more on decel , I'm told to change the

Backfiring on throttle-closed decelleration is usually caused by cold air being sucked into a hot exhaust systen. Check for poor seal where the downpipe meets the cylinder head, and leakage at any joints beneath the engine if it has a balance pipe. Hope that helps.

Changed all my sensers, fuel filter, cat. converter and intake gasket car still idles rough. Any other sugestions?

Are you sure all your cylinders are firing? If one or more isn't, then you would get a rough idle and cut off and possible backfires on the top end.

Num 1 dead , changed plug, wire ,rotor, cap, injector, does have compression runs fine sometimes , 1986 toyata dolphin motorhome 22re

The only thing left is the cam lobe it self. Run all new plugs for just one week. Pull the plugs - laying them out each plug for each cylinder - -mark them. Change them to NEW again - in one week - pull them and compare them with the new plugs. Some times you just get back plugs too so if you want to short cut it - change the plugs say - that cylinder with number 3.
Also - how old is the timing chain? This happens a lot with stretched chains - That is an old engine so I would seriously consider the timing chain being stretched. Inspect it as a precaution. I would replace it if you do not remember when it was changed to the month and year.
