I don't know how to change the bag for the machine, bag # SR 401010. Vaccum is Maytag Legacy series. Is there a diagram or picture to show how to replace the bag. Thanks

http://www.hoover.com/CustomerService/Manuals/Default.aspx Enter your model number on Hoover's website to view or print a manual. I suspect that you may have accidentally discarded the bag frame ( part # 93001544 ), which holds the bag in position.

I inherited my mothers sewing machine, bit there is no manual with it. What do i do to lubricate the sewing machine? Do I have toremove a cover, what part do I lubricate?

Hello: My condolences on your loss.

You don't say what kind of machine or how old it might be. Many of the newer manufacturers tell the user to NOT oil their machine of if it is permissible such as on Janome, the only place to oil is in the bobbin race. Even then only one drop of oil.

If you don't know when the last time *********** had the machine serviced, I would spend a few dollars and have it cleaned, lubed and checked by a professional, especially if the machine has been sitting for some time.

On old school machines (black and gold types) there were several oil ports but even then only one drop was needed.

I have just purchsed a tool kit for my dyson DC 24 Do I have to switch the beater bar off before these tools work?

Hi there,

The brushbar on DC24 is designed to stop rotating when you stand the machine upright, so you don't need to shut the brushbar off manually when you want to use the dusting tools.

Information on the correct way to use the dusting tools is provided in the user guide supplied with your machine. You may find this link helpful if you don't have the user guide to hand: http://media.dyson.com/downloads/UK/floorcare/Manuals/DC24_uk_manual_120710.pdf

If you have any further questions about using or maintaining your Dyson cleaner, please get in touch with us, free, on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866ASKDYSON (US), so we can provide you with the assistance you need.

Kind regards,

Jack

Dyson animal dc 28 wont recline and therefore wont vacuum floors- how to fix?

You DO NOT have to take your machine to a "certified technician" to fix this problem. See the photo above????? Simply slide a thin, flat-head screwdriver down and magically the machine will release. NOW: once it\'s released, simply examine the area where your screwdriver JUST slid down...see the dirt and gunk? DON\'T follow the MANY suggestions of adding lubricant "which only works for a short while" (by their own admission) WIPE AWAY THE DIRT AND GUNK and voilia! YOU are now a "certified technician" and you didn\'t have to sit through any technical school to get there! You go girl!!!!!!!

Pictures on how to change belt on a wildcat vacuum
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Not knowing the brand name and model number for the vacuum but I can give you a generic way of changing the belt. You 1st need to remove the bottom plate by screws, levers or clips, then you can get @ the belt, if not then you should remove the top cover and then you can get @ the belt. 1st remove the belt from the brushroll and install the new belt on the pulley side of the brushroll and then use a belt puller or a screwdriver with a bend on the end and then stretch the belt onto the motor pulley and then track the belt in a straight line so that is running in a straight line. Replace the bottom plate and the belt change should be done. Please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area.

So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
Thanks, Don the Vac Man

Replace belt

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The suggested belt change is every 4 to 6 months if the belt is a flat belt and to store the extra belts in a Ziploc bag in the refrigerator. As far as your question I would need more information about the brand name and model # to instruct you as per the belt change, other wise I don’t know how to instruct you as per the how to install the belt on your particular vacuum cleaner. Or, you can check with your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or to contact the manufacturer’s website and or phone #. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Changing the filter in Rainbow e series

Some of the e-series has a corrugated filter in the top section. To get to it, remove the clear plastic panels that are the sides. Most have 3 screws on each side to move, then the top half will come loose. There also is filter on the back, there is a door to remove to get to it.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
Not knowing the brand name or model number of the vacuum, some vacuums have a thermal switch or thermal shut off switch to protect the motor and once the motor gets hot the vacuum will shut off, or the vacuum could very well be clogged and the air is not getting through to the motor to keep it cool. Please check your owner’s manual under the trouble shooting section or cal the factory / manufacturer to see if the can send you an owner’s manual (OM) or you can download the OM from the manufacturer’s website. Next time include the brand name and model #. ? So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

You can buy Bissell products @ your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area in the yellow pages, or you can check the Bissell factory service number listed below or the Bissell website.
