1996 HARLEY SOFTAIL WON'T START

I PRESS THE START BUTTON AND THE ONLYNOISE IS THE CLICK,FROM THE BLINKER RELAY. I CHECK FOR POWER ON THE STARTER, BUT NO POWER TO THE SOLENOID. NO POWER ON THE COIL ETHEIR.I GOT A WIRE FROM THE BATTERY (+). TO THE STARTER AND WILL TURN THE ENGINE BUT STILL NO SPARK ON THE SPARK PLUGS.

2006 FLSTNI I press the start button; I hear a faint click down at the starter. but if I keep pushing the starter button rapidly, eventually it will engage the starter like always?

It is not a car moved you to MC. FLSTN/I
like all motorcycles.
they have a large set of starter blocking devices.
each can fail and do .
the service manual covers all this, for sure and only it does.
by year and model Harley. buy one?
the starter permissive's are. (switches) "a generic answer"
  1. clutch engaged
  2. neutral (transmission )
  3. kick stand up.
  4. battery good now weak, lugs tight and not rusty.
  5. key good & switch (key)
  6. starter relay good.
  7. starter good (means with solenoid too)
  8. engine not seized.
we use a volt meter to find this, easy it is.
the point of failure is found every time,.with a meter.

2007 herritage softail wont start with new battery and new alarm battery....no pwr to starter....this happened all of a sudden

Check you're starter relay. Replace if you think it may be bad. You can check to see if you have voltage going to the relay when you press the start button. I don't have a schematic but you can tell if you check and only have voltage when the start button is pushed. If the voltage is always there, this is not the start button.

Put the run button on and hear a click from the start relay. Hit the start button and nothing at all. Dead silent.

The click you are hearing is not coming from the "starter relay". The starter relay is activated by the "start" button only. The relay you're hearing is from the ECM or the securtiy system and that's what has your bike "dead in the water". I'm sorry but I know nothing about either system.
