I would check a few things. First off make sure the throttle cable is adjusted correctly. Second, try opening the throttle half way and letting go you should hear the inside parts of the carb click as they seat. Third, find the idle adjuster screw turn this anti clockwise and see if the idle speed drops down. Fourth check the choke mechanism is working properly choke/cold start forces a rich mixture to the engine and increases the idle revs.
it is worth checking the pilot air screw is adjusted correctly. Hope this helps.
i have just got a kuzma meerkat 50cc av cleaned all the carb out washed the tank cleaned all the pipes thers a spark but it still wont turn over the only time it will run is wen a pour petrol in the carb from the top into were the pin coz in the carb eny idears eny help or idears wiil be most welcome
after getting the carbs done..did you get them resynicurised..could have a float not adjusted correctlly or a adjustment screw not dialed in correctlly, all 4 carbs need to be adjusted insynic..if not will make for a hard start or run too lean or rich
The choke is on the carb. Check if the carb set screw is set right, turn it all the way in and then back out 1 1/4 turns. then fine tune by 1/4 turn increments.
Water in the carb float bowl? Remove the carb then remove the float bowl. Use spray carb cleaner to clean the carb. Pay special attention to the main jet.
hello lloyd...... definitely pull the carbs and rebuild them. Since you did everything else right, this alone should fix the problem. Joe
Thanks for choosing Fixya!
I would take a close look at the valves, if you are sure the carb is entirely clean. (Accelerator pump and everything)
A closed up exhaust can harm an exhaust valve.
Start with a compression test.
Good spark?
Is the plug wet?
