2007 ford sport trac rear wheel bearing replacement

Jeff is describing how to replace the front wheel bearings. In the front, the bearing is part of a "hub cartridge". Randy is describing how to change the rear bearings on a truck with a "dead" rear axle. The sort of differential which is one massive cast iron assembly from rim to rim. However, your truck has an IRS [Independent Rear Suspension] design. You need to remove the wheels, brakes & the complete rear knuckle assembly. To remove the bearing from the knuckle requires a hydraulic press and a "knife edge" bearing removal tool. I doubt that you have these tools available. If not, find an auto parts store or auto machine shop with these tools. They can press the old bearing out and install the new one for you. Then you can reassemble the knuckle assembly from that point on. The video linked below should help you.

With the knuckle off, you can easily replace the ball joints at the same time. Odds are you will ruin the original ball joints getting the knuckle assembly off, anyway.

Remove &replace 95 accord rear wheel bearing

remove this items in this order(rear disc):
-remove rear wheel(the side you are replace)(19mm socket)
-remove brake caliper with cailper bracket(14mm socket)
-remove brake disc
-remove metal cover hub/bearing assembly with flathead screwdriver
-remove 36mm nut behind metal cover.
-pull hub/bearing assembly out.
note:sometime the inner side of bearing stay on knuckle and you have to pry it out pry bar. check old bearing vs new bearing and you'll see the different. Don't reuse any parts of the old bearing.
-install new hub/bearing

How to replace rear axle seals

if the seal (s) is leaking you may have a bad bearing... to change.. remove the rear end cover, reach in pull the c clip on left or rt side. pull the axel out the side, use bearing puller to pull the old bearing, install new replacement bearing seal, put in axel, replace clip, reinstall rear cover, sealing properly, fill with rear gear lube to level of fill hole. get a chiltons manual for pictures and more detailed help.

How to change a rear wheel bearing on a 1994 toyota camry

The rear wheel bearing on a toyota camry is replaced by replacing the wheel bearing and hub as a unit. this is a design change as compare to older models with two piece wheel bearings. Scotch drive wheels. Remove rear wheel. Remove rear brake drum. (note: if emergency brakes are applied you will not be able to remove brake drum) Remove dust cap and hub retaining nut. Hub should slide off as unit. Replace hub with new unit. Installation is reverse of removal.
