Does it crank at all , if not then ck and make sure you battery is good , do you have a bad wire, if your wire is long you will always lose volts which is normal , but does it crank over , if not then try jump starting it with a car or something unless you have a good battery charger which will work just as well ,are you getting voltage when you crank it from the other side of the solenoid if not you have a bad solenoid , has to crank or it will never start ,

get a can of starter fluid and spray a short burst into the air intake...it should fire up...if it won't stay running or idle your carb is clogged from storage i presume...right? usually storage for more than 3 mos will clog a carb if you did not winterize it...Good luck to you friend...Tim

The starter relay needs replaced. If you follow the + wire from the battery, it goes into a box with a + wire on the other side of it. If you jump power across the two wires, it should start

Did you warm up your Kymco during winter? If not then your first priority is to have your battery professionaly measured for cranking power capacity or get a new one..

have you checked the spark plug? take it out and lay it on the engine touching a metal part and kick the bike you should see it sparking if not then replace the spark plug
if thats not the problem then give the carb a clean and check the air filter that its not blocked

2 stroke bikes need three things to work air spark and fuel as long as you have these it will work

hope this helps

2007 kymco 250 xciting scooterjust rebuilt motor and now I can't get motor to turn over.starter and battery r good.when I try to start all it does is click threw the solenoid.someone please help....

A clicking starter solenoid is usually caused by a discharged or defective battery. I would charge the battery and check the connections. The battery voltage should remain above 10 volts WHILE CRANKING.

How can tell if a silanoid bad on my riding mower

After assuring battery is charged and all electrical connections are clean and tight, you can try this,
If your tractor has the external solenoid (separate from the starter), you can by pass this solenoid by jump starting the starter with booster cables.
Negative cable will go on neg post of battery to a good ground on engine and then positive cable on positive post of battery, then just touch the other positive end to positive starter post (where the large cable is connected from solenoid). If the starter engages, chances are the the solenoid is bad or could be ignition switch is bad.

Car will not turn on like battery is dead but battery has full charge

type and year of is helpful so we`ll go generic----start by checking the connections at battery for corrosion or damage if good than check power to starter if none check wiring and connections also check power from ignition switch as well as fuses.also try turning key to accessory step on brake and move shifter to neutral than try starting if starts shifter may be out of adjustment or damaged this would be your basic troubleshooting for dead type battery when battery is fully charged but always recheck your battery that it is fully charged

Car wont start after replaceing batterty

The most common cause of a non-starting car is the battery. It is either weak, (low voltage) dead, (zero voltage) or has bad connections. (corroded or loose) I will assume you have a fully charged battery with good connections. (both to battery and starter relay) Just becaue its new, don't mean its good or fully charged.

If you remove the starter switch lead (small wire) from the starter relay and apply +12v from the battery to its respective prong or lead on the relay, and your starter cranks, your starter switch is faulty. (not to be confused with your key switch). If you jump the two large wires together on the relay and it cranks, then the relay is faulty. If you jump the two large wires together and nothing happens, then starter is faulty, or wires to starter are loose or broken. Picture of starter switch prong on the relay is pictured. NOTE: sparks are to be expected, so don't be too scared.

Four wheeler wont start. it just clicks

if the 4-wheeler is just clicking when you try and start -- this is a good indicator that the voltage is not high enough to activate the starter,, and the sound that you hear is the solenoid clicking.
try and jump the four wheeler battery with a car battery,, this should give it the power it needs to turn over. as soon as you have the ATV running - ride it around for awhile and let it run and charge the battery, there is also a chance that the battery is going bad and it may be time to buy a new one,, also make sure the generator on the ATV is charging the battery at a voltage of 13.6 to 14.4 volts DC. IF jumping the battery still does not start the machine and it still just 'clicks',, then the solenoid itself could be at fault -- replace it and then try and start..
(( use a bench charger to fully charge the battery and re-install into the ATV and you should be back on the trail in no time at all )).
