One side of second row seat accidentally latched to wrong floor mount when trying to put seat back in and now it is stuck. The latch release doesn't seem to work on the side that is stuck shut. Tried to pry the stuck latch open with a screw driver while pulling on the latch release, but it wouldn't budge. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: The latch on the driver's

Hi.

It depends on the car year and model, which has not been listed. If the latch is the one on the top to fold down the rear seat, use long nosed pliers and help yourself with a big screwdriver.
Schematics can help, but that depends on car model.

My 2003 Chevy Silverado truck's back seat is stuck. I can't get it to fold down. Is there any trick to it?

flip the 40 side forward, then release the seat back on the 60 side so you can get behind the seat. Place a small shaving mirror on the floor under the latch and use a screwdriver to push the latch up. After the seat released you find out that there were 2 latches on the 60 side, and the one over by the 40 side must have been caught on something. You should now open and close the seat a couple of times.

The 20% 2nd row tumble seat release latch is stuck. How do I get it to release?

Check down in every pocket the locks into. cold be obstructed. If they are clear, you also need to lube the latches at both sides. If it still wont budge, it needs help with a pry bar, one side at a time going back and forth.

2005 gmc yukon third row latch #1 stuck

There is a cable that connects the handle to the latch, the cables like to break/stretch, sometimes if you look close at the rear of the seat where it attaches to the floor you can see the latch and manually release it with a long screw driver or similar tool.
Cables are avaiable from GM dealer if thats the problem.

Rear seat belt stuck in floor latch on 2004 Nissan Armada

I have on a couple of occasions been able to apply some intelligent force and separate the two halves of the rigid black plastic cover of the latch (luckily the bond was weaker than the plastic) and then manipulate the exposed mechanism with a wire or screwdriver or whatever using a strong light and a mirror.

Both times I was able to fit the plastic covers back together after removing the guilty detritus (toffee papers) from inside.

2007 Tahoe 3rd row right seat will not fold

I solved the problem by spraying WD40 into the front side of the seat support that was sticking. This support has a rubber closure to protect the mechanics of the seat. After spraying a generous amount of WD40, I waited about 5 minutes and tried the lever to fold the seat. It worked and still does.

Kia Sedona seat stuck

Got it, with the help and eyes of my wife. The rear latch releases as the seat back is lowered. This release is ALMOST seat back down (about 3 inches above the seat bottom). As the seat back lowers, apply constant lift on the rear latch, and it will release as the seat back lowers. Hard-won knowledge - I think I invented some bad words in the process.
