Thanks for the want details: you do have gas in it? It is fresh gas? Does the engine crank? Did you turn off the choke? What color is the tank?

SOURCE: 07 vtx 1300 leaking gas when bike is started

You need to pull the gas tank off and find out where it is leaking. I would say it is probaby something simple like a loose clamp on a fuel line.

Testimonial: "thanks. It was exactly what you thought. I took the tank off, the main pipe that goes from tank to the carb had come off. Put it back on and walah."

SOURCE: '06 vtx 1300 c : engine dies when put into gear

You have one of two things going on. (1) You need to check the kick stand switch, your bike thinks the kick stand is still down. It may have been loosened out of adjustment by vibration. If the kick stand switch is out of whack, it will restart as long as the clutch in pulled in. But as soon as you try to let out the clutch it will kill the engine, if it is in gear. (2) Next problem could be, you need to loosen up the clutch cable a little bit, The clutch control on the handle bar has a screw type of adjuster (clutch cable passes through it ), try loosening it till it's easy for you to move the bike without the engine shutting off. Hope it helps and comment if you need more clarification.

Testimonial: "I tightened the kickstand switch and it did the trick. I had some bad thought about my Honda and now feel grateful. Thanks alot, really!"

My 2006 Honda VTX1300 starts fine with the choke lever pulled out part or all of the way, but after engine is plenty warmed up, if the choke lever is pushed back in, the bike immediately dies.

your carbs not getting enough fuel check the bowl and jets. I run a pice of wire down the jets even if they look open just to be sure. Speaker wire strands work well for the tiny holes
