I think you mean the engine management light. I do not know of a 'pump primer light' on any Harley. If this light is coming on when driving, and staying off when idling, then you have a problem which needs investigating. Golden rule, red light on - stop motor or damage iminent. Orange light on - needs looking at as soon as possible. check for historic DTC codes using speedometer and repost with these or bring bike to dealer.
If the light is staying on and doesn't shut off it means that you have a current code . That means that something is happening right now. If the light comes on then goes off then that means you have a historic code. Either one should show you a code. I would take it to a dealer. Most won't charge to just look up the codes.
I'm having a problem with my 1998 dodge ram all of my gauges read 0 before cranking it over all gauges work when cranked over accept my speedometer...odometer and my gas gauge goes to 3/4 full and stays there...im wandering if the speed sensor is causing the fuel gauge to stick along with the ABS light check engine light and break light..any answers?
there should be a single red light on the dash around the speedometer, if it dosent turn off after 5 seconds after you turn the car on it means the car dosent recgnoize the computer chip thats in your key... check that first, if the light stays on then your key is bad
shellnbarry, As I stated in a previous post the red light flashing means an ink cartrdge is low but not empty. When the red light stays on it means an ink cartridge is empty. You can continue to use the printer until the red light stays on.
look for wire breaks, bad splices; if you ran internal wires through your bars; we all do; check there solder joints don't **** splice; security light means a current trouble code on tssm; take it to a tech/dealer before it strands you; probably bad ground; maybe bad module; good luck
either your alternator has gone or your fan belt is not there which helps the alternator to charge the battery get a volt meter on your alternator to see if it is kicking out what it should be
