My Yamaha Virago 535 has cleaned carbs now. Since this the air hoses connected to a small black plastic box under tank (under the plastic silver bullet looking covers on each side, but this one is on the left side) . I was told those are AIR flow hoses only but there is GAS dripping from bottom of that little plastic box, like the seal on bottom is cracked open some. That where the gas leaks from. If that is only an air flow system then why is gas leaking from there? Carbs have been totally cleaned out and it bike back from ship and now this leak and they took back and said they fixed it but it still leaks!!! Taking advantage of a woman I guess!!! Makes me so mad!! Anyone know the part or area I'm talking about? Thanks!!!!!
SOURCE: Fuel in air box?
make sure that all of your little pendulium's that block the gas line when floats are raised are properly aligned in the chamber
SOURCE: Won't idle without choke
The pilot jet controls the air/gas fuel mix at idle . If the jet gets plugged up not enough gas gets to the emgine at idle. You will need to remove the carbs and float bowls and clean them, paying special attention to the pilot valve. Count the number of turns to remove the pilot screw and replace the same number of turns then turn counter clockwise 1/2 turn.
A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!
SOURCE: Air box and crank case fuel flooding problem
Well there only one way the fuel can get into the crankcase and that's from the fuel tank. The petcock must be draining and the float needles are not stopping the fuel flow. Do you have a prime position on the petcock? If so do not run the bike in the position. Try topping the tank off with gas and letting it sit for a while and see is the gas has gone down and then check the crankcase and see if there's fuel in it again. i still say its got to be your petcock.

SOURCE: I have a 03 Yamaha 660 raptor one of the carbs
Did you reset (adjust)the float inthe float chamber to tht carburator which is leaking ?
You will probabley have to adjust tht float to stop from overflowing in other words we call it flooding.
Check the float pin of wear at the tip.
Hope this helps!
SOURCE: Fuel leaking from air box after shutting down
Hi
Thats the float valve seals not shutting off, did you clean them & set the float heights?
The overflows from the carb bottoms must also be blocked for the fuel to fill up the carbs which then leaks into the air filter
Check also that the fuel tap turns off when bike is not running
