Anything over 90000 would equal 15000 + per year.

SOURCE: My FI indicator light stay on on my 2001 honda cbr

It means a fuel system problem. You have to count the blinks and the number will correspond with the code number. You will have to take it to a Honda shop or other cycle shop if you can't count the blinks, or you don't have the code book information.

SOURCE: if my oil light is flashing does that mean its low

It comes on every time the oil pressure falls below a preset level. If you are running out of oil (because the level is low), then 1) shame on you for not checking the oil level frequently! It's not like you have to lift the hood, or anything hard like that, and 2) don't drive it at all until you get some oil in there!

If you have plenty of oil, then you could have a stuck oil pressure relief valve, a blocked oil pickup, a worn out oil pump, an unbelievably clogged oil filter, or an internal oil leak (from a crack, or something coming loose).

In a water cooled car, the water only does 60% of the cooling. Another 20% is by aire passing over the engine surface, and the rest is carried to the oil sump to be cooled by air passing over the pan. Motorcycles have highly finned oil sumps for a reason: They shed a lot of heat through the oil. If you are low on oil, you will be low on cooling, too.

If you fill up with oil, but you still overheat, you probably have an excessively lean fuel mixture. If that is the case, and you let that continue, this bike won't last very long.

I just checked and found that this is a water cooled engine. So yes, you probably need coolant -- check into that right away. If the water pump gets dry even for a split second, the seals (lacking the lubrication that the water provides) will be destroyed -- it happens instantly.

I have 01 honda cbr929 the fi light is on and the red check engine light flashes

FI means a fault in your ignition/fuel injection system, look up fault codes online they will pinpoint the fault for you.http://downloads.hondatech.info/Moto/CBR/CBR929RR.pdf page 125 has list of fault codes . Do you have a Power Commander fitted? these can bring there own problems, try unplugging it all back to standard to see if fault goes away.

When I turn on the tv all i get is the welcome screen, and it will not go any futher, there is green light flashing in front of the tv. and it will not turn off with the remote, i have to unplug it.

Hi Andre,

May I know if the LED light at the front panel has a pattern of flashes or flashing continuously in green color.

Please check if you can access the "Self diagnostic screen" by following the steps below.
- To activate, press the front panel "Activity" and "Channel down" buttons at the same time and hold for 5 secs. The Status led will then flash a two digit code. Example, if the error code is "23" the led light flashes 2 times(blink, blink) pause and then flash 3 times(blink, blink, blink). Let me know the error code to narrow down, it will help to diagnose where the fault came from.
Note : the TV must be in shutdown not switched off, or AC power cord is removed because the code will reset to "12" means no error. Use the front panel buttons not on the remote control. If you can't access the self diagnostic, press and hold the "Activity" button on the front panel for 5 secs before entering the "self diagnostic" code.

On the gage cluster what does F1 or FI mean

The Fl lamp lights up when the computer finds a malfunction in the programmed Fuel Injection. There are 33 different codes. The offending code is denoted by how many times the Fl light blinks.
Nine of the 33 codes do not show symptoms since the engine still runs okay. If the Fl light just stays on then the engine will not run because the computer will not let it run, (except in two cases).
"MIL" translates as "Malfunction Indicator Lamp ".

This is what the service manual says:

" The PGM-Fl MIL denotes the failure codes ( the number of blinks from 0 to 33 ). When the indicator lights for 1.3 seconds it is equivalent to 10 blinks. For example, a 1.3 second illumination and two blinks ( 0.5 second X 2 ) of the indicator equals 12 blinks. Follow code 12 on page 5-26.
When more than one failure occurs, the MIL shows the blinks in order of the lowest number to the highest number. For example, if the indicator blinks once, then two times, two failures have occurred. Follow codes 1 and 2 on page 5-12."

BOTTOM LINE > A blinking light that can't be understood, combined with instructions that can't be understood make the entire Honda "malfunction alert system" totally worthless and a pain in the neck to the owner. Why can't someone in Japan write a computer program that would render something like " Code 23 error " instead of a blinking light that means nothing because it is not user friendly.

You asked what the FI light means. It means you are forced to take your bike in for service at a Honda shop and pay big bucks to the dealer for something you could have done yourself for $12.00. This is a built-in money maker for Honda dealers.
