Hello Anon,
Has the bike been sitting for a while? If yes, then the carb needs a PROFESSIONAL cleaning..there are too many little passages and jets that must be perfectly clean for it to run! NOT to mention the fuel passage into the carb..(Needle and seat)..
If this is the situation... get it cleaned and enjoy the ride...

wear a helmet - even if your state law doesn't require it!!

SOURCE: engine wont fire up

Do you have fresh gas in the bike? Try changing the plugs with new ones and check for spark. You can do this by putting the new plugs on the plug wire and grounding it to the head on the engine crank the motor over you should see a bright blue spark. Check one plug at a time. No spark check the ignition wires and coils. As for the oily plugs it could be they are just fouled caused by either flooding the motor while trying to start, bad plugs, week coils, bad gas, poorly adjusted carb's. I would start with the plugs and work my way back to the carbs. Still fouling the plugs after all that start checking the engine, ie compression check ect.

SOURCE: suzuki TC 100 won't start but park for 10 years bought new spark

Go to the dealer and ask for the stock plugs for your bike. Check for spark on each of the new plugs then install the plugs.

Remove the carbs , dissemble it and clean the varnish out. Remove the petcock, ( gas valve ),water trap and clean it out. Next let one cup of gas flow into a container. Any water or rust in the bottom of the container? If any rust was in the water trap or the container then purchase an inline fuel filter to eliminate the rust getting into the carb.

If cleaning the carbs yourself does not do the trick then take it to the dealer and have them clean it and install carb kits. This should eliminate the carbs as a problem. Get a new air filter and install it.

Now you have spark, gas and air. If it still will not start it is likely that you need new crank seals. On a bike that old you may well need new crank bearings as well.

Please rate this solution. Thanks!

SOURCE: 04 yfz 450 wont start with electrical start

i have a 04 yfz 450 quad. the compression ratio like yours is extremely high. ive had my battery go bad and found that another battery other than factory would turn over the engine, but would not start. i paid the 100 dollars for the factory battery and it fired right up. because of the high compression you need a high cranking battery.

SOURCE: My suzuki drz 400 seems to drain the battery and

check that all the wire connections are good, start at the 3 stator leads and follow it to the rectifier and to the battery, also if you have a multimeter, rev the bike up to 3000 revs and hook up the multimeter to the battery (positive to positive and neg - neg), this will give you the charging voltage, should be between 13-15 volts dc, if its not, it could be a bad stator, but is more likely to be the regulator rectifier unit

SOURCE: my suzuki gsxr 600 srad started to over heat.

One, or more, of the three necessary ingrediants for combustion are missing: fuel, compression, and a spark (at the right time).
You said that it started to overheat. Find out why. Then, check the engine's compression. You need at least 140 psi of compression, in every cylinder, for the engine to start and run. Low compression indicates either the need for a valve adjustment - or serious engine repairs.

Testimonial: "cheers mate will conduct a compression test and take it from there. thanks. "

1994 suzuki quadrunner lt f250 wont run

Hey Marty,
An internal combustion engine requires three things to run..(if all the internals are good)..
1. A properly timed spark.
2. Adequate compression (>120psi).
3. Proper air/fuel mixture.

Start by eliminating one of these at a time...(get a professional to clean and set the carb), install a new spark plug. Get a new fuel line.

Can't pull start my 1995 250 suzuki quadrunner LT-F250 or electric start it but if I jump it electric start works when motor running warm cold won't work or pullcord either

Take your battery to O'Reilly's or AutoZone and have the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) checked.. it takes amperage to crank your ATV..not voltage..
DO NOT EVER JUMP YOUR ATV WITH A CAR OR HI-AMP BATTERY CHARGER..TOO MANY AMPS!!!!

Have a qualified professional clean and set the carburetor...it will make sure the starting process is easier...new spark plug too... and check the air filter...replace if not perfect!!!

My suzuki wont start

with a new battery and a new plug, check if the engine is getting adequate amount of fuel. if the answer is yes,and you are satisfied that a strong spark is present, then timing is the only thing left. check your timing if all the above are satisfactory.
