Hello
Fuel limitation. From tank to carb/injectors are you getting enough fuel supply? also Do you have a clogged air filter? Restricted exhaust system. To test exhaust system, unbolt the exhaust pipes from the manifold and see if it is restricting exhaust. If car runs better it needs exhaust work. All of above is if car runs good under 20 mph, Check fuel filter first, to see if its getting enough of fuel. Good-Day!
Was your car subject to the recall for ignition? if not and you exceeded your 40K interval, you may have damaged the coil. Is your CEL on or flashing? It may be related to this. If not, You may have a faulty throttle position sensor or stuck throttle body. You can take the tubing off at the throttle body to inspect for free movement of the plate itself. Is it an automatic? it could be a stuck shift solenoid or for some reason could have defaulted to limp mode to protect something integral. Throttle limitations without a CEL are typically mechanical in nature and as this is a more basic engine configuration, very hard to diagnose. I have heard of similar issues from rodent damage by chewing into the main bulkhead harness for the transmission that did not set a CEL.

Could be throttle position sensor. Does it run rough at 20 mph or smooth?

Hello angel 003801, if the car was running rough, and had acceleration issues before you changed the throddle body, I strongly recommend you get a new air filter. Many people are unaware that the air filter is like lungs to your engine, your engine needs a good mix of fuel and air to perform at it's peak. Also, most 10 minute oil change companies do not change the air filter, at best, some of them may take it out, hit it against something to clean some of the dirt out, and then put it back in.
If the engine seems to run better after putting in the throttle body I would still change the air filter if you haven't done that in a while. Also, make sure that the throttle body is mounted securely with no leaks, look around the area of the throttle body and make sure you didn't accidently knock of a vacuum hose, ( vacuum hoses are very small, usually black hoses, and there are several in the general area of the throttle body. If you should find a small hose that has one end that is not hooked to anything, look around for a small nipple that it may have come off of.
