Fuel in the crankcase

I have an 06 Suzuki 400 Eiger Quadrunner. When it sits for a week or so, fuel leaks into the crank case. After changing the oil & filter and starting the 4x4 every day, theres no problem. After it sits for a couple of days and I pull the drain, fuel and oil pours out. Any suggestions?

It sound like your fuel shut off valve is bad and the needle valve and set may need to be cleaned.

I would say it is a carburetor float issue either the o rings that hold the float in are bad or the float needle is not seating properly also be sure your fuel petcock is set to on and not prime.

Your float valve is sticking - the carb fills up, the fuel runs out through the carb into the engine.
Get a new float valve, until then - turn the fuel off at night.

Where do the vaccum lines on atv 400 eiger suzuki gooff the carb.

The vacuum line goes to the smaller of the two fittings on the fuel petcock. Suzuki used a vacuum controlled auto shut off mechanism in many of their fuel petcocks.

How do we keep our four wheeler running? it won't idle. it dies.

Sounds like a passageway may still be clogged. I suggest that you try dipping it in carb solution for a couple of hours, then rinse and blow out everything.

I have 1989 suzuki 250 quadrunner. why does it idle up and down when it just sits there? i've rebuilt the carb

1.Intake leak
2.Old fuel the 10% ethanol is not a good fuel it attracts water..
3.Idle slightly too high and spark advance keeps advancing and then retarding.
Try dropping the idle some. Warm it up to normal operating temp first.
4. Float is opening and closing seat changing the fuel level in the bowl
5. Spark plug is dirty.
6. Compression changing as it warms up

Good luck

Well there only one way the fuel can get into the crankcase and that's from the fuel tank. The petcock must be draining and the float needles are not stopping the fuel flow. Do you have a prime position on the petcock? If so do not run the bike in the position. Try topping the tank off with gas and letting it sit for a while and see is the gas has gone down and then check the crankcase and see if there's fuel in it again. i still say its got to be your petcock.

I have a Suzuki DRZ 125L and for some reason there is a massive amount of fuel in my crankcase when I changed the oil and it wont idel, but runs fine when started. The carbs have recently been cleaned. Any...

Always turn the fuel petcock off when your not riding the bike. The cocks leak and the fuel flows through the carb. through the intake, into the cylinder, past the rings and into the crank. This is possible death to your top end. The fuel washes away the oil on the cylinder wall !
I would do an oil change then let the bike run for a little while then do another oil change. This will help get the fuel out of the crank. Then another change after your next ride.I would even put a little extra oil with your fuel mix to help lube that cylinder and maybe smootout the idle. Dont run the bike to hard for a while, let the oil clean up the cylinder.(I hope) You may have scorched the piston and cylinder walls with the fuel in the oil.
