SOURCE: having a problem with fuel pump/fuel line if gas

I'm not quite sure I understand your English. However these bikes' fuel supply operate on vacuum and if I understand correctly you're not getting fuel to the engine. Check firstly that the vacuum pipe connected to the fuel supply valve is working correctly. 3 pipes: 1 Main fuel supply. 2 Reserve fuel supply. 3 Vacuum.
Sucking on 3 will result in fuel pouring from 1 or 2 depending on where the valve is set.(Reserve or main). If not the valve is faulty.

SOURCE: does a 2000 yamaha xl

Most if not all are gravity feed because tank is higher than the carbs. The flow is controlled by a manual on off valve or is vacuum controlled. Make sure any vacuum likes going to the carbs float bowls are not cracked, leaking, or missing. Good Luck, Ned

The fuel line connects to the fuel inlets towards the float bowl in the carb.Test the fuel lines to confirm the float valve seats are sealing. There are two Ts between the each set of two carbs, the lower is where fuel goes in, the upper is a vent.-------- Click this link below for more details with diagram:--- http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/07/fuel-lines-routing-on-yamaha-xs1100.html ---------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Fuel line routing diagrams for 86 yamaha fz600

You can route it any way you want really. I'm not familiar with your specific model but if you don't have a fuel filter (you should) or a fuel pump to worry about it's just a matter of finding the easiest path from the inlet nipple from the carburetor rack to the petcock on the tank...

That's an awesome number of innuendos in one sentence!

To install:
If the sending unit or the fuel pump are removed, a new O-ring must be installed.
  1. Install the fuel tank to vehicle and torque the mounting bolts to 20-26 ft. lbs. (27-37 Nm). If removed, install the fuel tank protector.
  2. Connect all the fuel lines and ventilation hoses.
  3. Lower the vehicle and connect the filler tube to the vehicle body.
  4. Connect the fuel gauge and fuel pump electrical connections.
  5. Install the inspection cover and rear seat cushion.
  6. Pour fuel back into fuel tank.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
  8. Start engine and check for fuel leaks.
