My silver cross surf chassis won't lock on one side. And handle height can only be adjusted manually. What should I do?

Hi Kerry, the handle bar's cable broke, which can be replaced. that could also be the reason for the failure in the locking mechanism.

Hayter problems
if it has the green trigger you pull up to move height adjuster it is common that they snap or the roll pin comes out. simply take out the 2 cross head scews from the handle and remove handle, the trigger will then be free to remove, there will be a compression spring on the trigger dont loose it!!!! the triggers are quite cheap and can be bought online at ebay etc, just slide trigger back into handle bot forgetting to reit spring. refit handle to chassis and refit the 2 screws

Hi,

On each handle there is a trigger, pull both triggers upward with your index fingers, then push the handles toward the floor slightly, the arms will then raise out of their slots,(lower down toward the front wheels).Once these arms are released from their slots, holding onto one handle (left handle if you are right-handed) pull the handle at the back of the pushchair upwards quite firmly, this will fold the chassis (this handle is located directly at the back, around knee height). Make sure that you hear a 'click' when the chassis is folded, this ensures that the chassis is locked shut. If it helps, place the chassis on the floor and push dowward on it to lock it shut. If this is brand new, it is always a little stiffer (and also with the basinette fabrics on). Have a practice and see how you get on!

How do i fold a bebecar stylo pram
First, make sure that the adjustable-height handle is in one of the middle positions. Find the twist-grip in the middle of the handle, press the button and turn the collar in the direction of the arrow. The chassis should start to close. Next, find the secondary lock, on the right hand side, and press down on that and lift the handle bar. Keep pushing the handle forward until the chassis is fully folded.

If the dreami carrycot or the maxi cosi car seat are attached, these will have to be removed first. Apply parking brake Release the handle bars by unclasping the silver clips on the frame. Push down handlebar to lowest height as you press in the silver button under the quinny logo on the very top of the handlebar( in the middle of the foam padding) with a downward thrusting motion. The chassis should then collapse for storing. To unfold then release the transport clip on the left hand side with the red sticker on it and unfold upwards adjust handlebar to required height and lock by closing the silver clasps either side of the frame. Have bought second hand mutsy stroller, no manual and no idea how to fold the chasis down!
Hi,

First remove the seat or carrycot/car seat if this is on the chassis. Then, stand to the left of the chassis. Push down the button on the handle which lowers the handle bar height with your right hand. With your left hand, take a hold of the black cuff on the side of the chassis (this should be about waist height). In one movement, you need to pull the left hand up, whilst pushing down your right hand, this needs to be done at the same time, and with some force.
When the chassis is lowered toward the floor, this will click shut. To open the chassis, there is a small metal arm on the left hand side of the chassis with a red cover on (this is quite little) you need to lift this button upwards (towards you) and the chassis will open.

Opening from folded position
i also found this annoying, the tracker chassis is similar to the ip-op chassis, which you can find instructions for online.
however when the chassis is folded, you first have to adjust the handle, to do this you push in the round black buttons either side of the handle, make sure the handle is in a strait line with the rest of the chassis. also check that the front wheels are in NON steering mode by pushing in the red button on the left hand side of the chassis.
once this is ok, you go back to the handle and push in the red button in the middle of the handle that confusingly says fold, as you push the button in, twist the black fold casing downwards, put your foot on the bottom crossbar and pull the handle towrds you. the chassis should start unfolding keep pulling the handle and pushing the bottom cross bar with your foot until the chassis clicks and locks on both sides.
da dah!!!!! there you go. now wait till want to fold it again bloody thing is a nightmare without instructions.
