What else besides bad caps cause power issues?

it has worked great taking two trys for 36 hours now and when green flashing lite goes out during startup only taking 15-30 seconds for picture to come on. it has worked great taking two trys for 36 hours now and when green flashing lite goes out during startup only taking 15-30 seconds for picture to come on.

i will except taking twice to power up without problem. but im actually pressing the power button again on 2nd try after red light appears indicating standby mode. i think when it first started well i know when it first started having problems it cyc led and came on idk exactly how many attempts but up close to an hour before i had to start unplugging and enventually dying with no lights or sound.
