Shorted rectifier diodes [Rectifier stalk], shorted ceramic capacitors connected in parallel with rectifier diodes, and the DC power supply etc: can be the cause. Shorted junction with the switching regulator transistor, is the most common cause. The causes can be many. But, pinpoint the exact faulty component is the success for any repair work.

pressed power again and it lit up around power buttn while making what i say is game sound with the flashing green light and sound frm sattelite signal and green light went off and probly a minute later that awesome pic appeard i had been missing almost 2 weeks.

it has worked great taking two trys for 36 hours now and when green flashing lite goes out during startup only taking 15-30 seconds for picture to come on.

i will except taking twice to power up without problem. but im actually pressing the power button again on 2nd try after red light appears indicating standby mode. i think when it first started well i know when it first started having problems it cyc led and came on idk exactly how many attempts but up close to an hour before i had to start unplugging and enventually dying with no lights or sound. Nothing. so im really concerned about the two 85c caps and other two 25 volt 105c caps cause i wanted all to be like the one 2200 35 volt 105c caps and wonder if any of them or wat else would make it take two trys when all else powers up like it should with no pic on first try. even lights are on inside tv on first try. now ive only shut it off now a handful of times longest being 3 hours or so. it only came on right the first try when i accidently hit button on surge protector and then i powered right back up when i noticed red standby light.

also want to shut it off for around 8 hours cause it seemed like when problems first started the longer it was off the worse it got especially towards the end when it died. any advice would be very helpful especially which parts to look at and even not to worry about. ive watched videos on changing all kinds of boards and other parts but only dmd, main, the tube that has the 3 radiator type parts in enclosed tube for i think the three colors with the red having problem being furthest from fan and collecting most dust. also seems as if this is hottest part in tv and blows almost directly on the psb and caps. i left the one little small dust/acess cover off to allow heat to escape better. ill clean often if have to cause just seems as if it has to help.

sry for all the short post but every now and again this site runs slow causing it to lock up then losing whatever i did manage to type. its good now though as u can see difference

after rereading i meant to add but only watched videos on dmd, main and that tube being change on my exact model.at first had lots of confusion on similar models but had color wheels and lamps with some kind of door that gets stuck. im pretty sure mine doesnt have this. not sure on lamp but looks like digital mirrors, led lite engine and those three color coolers in tube. idk if i just want to believe or wat but the darker reds seem so much more enhanced since i cleaned all of those inside tube and left that access/dust cover off. i say this cause i notice the green and blues enhanced before like the red now. we all have opinions i know but i believe this dlp has better picture than plazmas and other led and lcd tvs ive watched. this being only dlp ive ever watched. the main reason for wanting to fix it and even better if it stays fixed for only $21.

I have a 89 camaro R S with a loose dist cap.

Yes, a loose distributor cap can cause engine misfires and lead to rough running, loss of power, and decreased fuel efficiency. A damaged or loose distributor cap can cause spark to arc to the wrong terminal, leading to poor engine performance. To fix the issue, it's recommended to replace the distributor cap to ensure proper engine operation.

Can a drop cause a capacitor to bulge?

Not likely. Caps are likely bulging due to heat, and are near end of life. Even if you didn't drop it, it would fail when a cap failed altogether.

I assume you mean you changed capacitors on either the mainboard or power supply. My first question would be why you did this in the first place. If no power then you may have a additional problem other then capacitors. Unless the caps were blown or you tested them with a ESR meter then they might have not been bad.. Or they could have cause another component to go bad or vice versa depending on the circuit. Did you make sure you installed the new caps with the correct polarity? If so.. did you test the new caps with a CAP/ESR meter to make sure they were good? If cap were good, correctly installed, correct polarity, good soldering job.. then there is another bad compotent on the board some where.. with out proper testing it would be hard to say.. usually on & off issues are power/capacitor/mainboard related.

Acer monitors bad caps

Your not using the correct ratings on the replacement caps. The replacements neewd to be low ESR, high ripple current and high temp because the switching power supplies put a lot of stress on the power supply parts. The Acer units just stress the caps a little faster than other models. Any other brands that you have repaired with these parts that are not to spec will fail within a few months and could damage the power supply board when they do. Here is a link to more information about getting the correct capacitors for monitor power supply repairs.

The link article shows brands and series that have the correct rating for this use.

Green blinking timer light on my WD 62525 tv

That symptom is almost always caused by bad capacitors that are known to fail through ou the five circuits boards within the chassis. Usually the DM board and The Power Board caps fail which can cause the non stop blinking timer led. You can get the V26 Chassis DM / Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the caps with repair instructions that will often repair that issue.

My DT 125 sputters terribly in midrange rpms. Funny though, when it is about to run out of gas (right before switching to reserve) the power smooths. Wish it could run like that all the time. I know two...

There are three things that could be causing the problems you mention.
(1) You could have a bad four hole washer in your fuel petcock that is causing fuel flow issues. Rebuild or replace the petcock.
(2)You could be have issues with a sticking float needle or an incorrect float level (or sunk float). Clean the carburetor , check the needle for wear, check the float level measurement, see if the float sinks or floats in gas.
(3)You could have a bad gas cap (gas cap vent) that does not allow enough air into the tank fast enough when it is full. Replace the gas cap or unplug the vent in the cap.

Monitor issue

More likely to be caused by bad caps in the power supply, bad inverter circuits, or bad lamps. I would look inside for bad caps with bulging top or leaking caps first. Post back what you see iside so we can guide you further. See example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Check your power supply board for some bad caps (capacitors) on the board. They will look bulged on the top an may be a little leaky (brownish stain). A bad cap can sometimes produce a harmonic, causing issue's with the sound. Also look at the signal board (where all the inputs are), for bad caps. I have come across this on a lcd tv!! Good luck, hope this is helpful!
