SOURCE: I have a 2004 Dyna

Hi,
Sounds like the solenoid relay is stuck up and shorted your starter! Better check the starter, pull it down and look if the bendix drive is still intact, upon driving and engine is running the bendix drive is still engage, thus it might have broken and loosen up.
If you can't repair it, a mechanic can certainly repair it, hope that bendix drive is still okay, if damage is already done, just replace that part. The solenoid that gives power and pushes the bendix drive is at fault, better check that too, it is the first one that malfunctioned and damages the bendix.
Hope that helps you out!

SOURCE: tail light on HD Dyna Low Rider is still staying on after pulling switch for rear brake pedal. What to do now?

Is it the talilliight or the brake light? If it's the brake light, check the front brake switch inside the right handlebar control. The plunger may not be working properly.

2005 dyna low rider shuts down

It must be something about oil pressure. Or there is massive oil leek so you are on low oil level again or something with oil pump or filter.

Transmission oil viscosity for fxdl harley davidson

This is a good question. Normally, the bike calls for 80/90 weight oil but the newer HD performance engines, transmissions and primaries use a good 40 weight in all three areas. I know of quite a few people that use 40W and they all say the bikes run cooler, shift easier, better performance and better mileage.

Bike starts up fine when I turn throttle it back fires

If by "back fires" you are talking about the engine spitting back through the intake, this is because the engine's fuel mixture is too lean for the conditions. If the engine is cold, this is common. If it's doing it once the engine reaches full operating temperature, it's an indication that he fuel air mixture is too lean. They often come from the factory jetted or tuned to run very lean so that the bikes can meet the EPA's emission regulations. Take the bike to a performance oriented shop that has a dynometer and an exhaust gas analyzer. Have them run it up and check the fuel air mixture and they can advise you what you need to do to make your bike run better and cooler.

Good Luck

2003 HD Low Rider. Went to crank and gas+oil

sounds like stuck needle valve if it's carbureted, letting the gas run into the engine filling it up,has to go somewhere if its full, you need to drain it out, don't try to start it,with all that gas in the oil it will not get proper lubrication resulting in engine damage.Shut off the fuel valve or it will continue to run into the engine.Hope this helps
