How can I fix my vstar 1100? Turned over for afew seconds then everything died. No power at all. Jeff

Jeff, Make sure battery is good and charged, check all fuses, I believe there will be a 30 amp that could be blown, other then that remove battery connections and clean, check ground connection to frame/engine also, quite common for bikes to have dirty or loose connection and loose all power.
Check the attached links forums, instruction and guides, last link is a good trouble shooting link.Good luck

Yamaha 2006 V-star classic. Battery charged, but all I get is a clicking noise. What's wrong??

if it is not too big I would try a push start. if it is too big for that I would suspect the starter.

My wifes vstar wont start put new battery in and starting sisinoid, still just buzzes unlett i boost it

check your charging system components from the grounds, diodes, to the stator/generator and fuses. first check the battery with a volt meter to see if it reads any voltage going back into the battery. that will tell you it is not charging. also if you want a less reliable test, try disconnecting the ground of the battery while it is running. if it stops the system is not charging.

I replace the battery on my 2005 v-star 1100 costum and it only clicks but wont start.

make sure all of the terminals are clean, give them a good cleaning with a wire brush. If that doesnt work check the starter terminals are not loose. After that its a bad starter motor.

Motor cycle wont start

Battery is probably toast. Get yourself a new battery and you should be riding again in no time....also fully trickle charge battery before installation...Good luck to you....Tim

Starter will not turn over dew to buzzing under seat

buy a new battery shelf life is not 2 yrs the only other thing that would have saved this battery is a trickle charger or battery maintainer
