1998 Honda F6 C Valkyrie stalls when it hits reserve

When it's time for my bike to go to reserve it will run out of gas, then I have to set a few minutes steadily cranking for it to start.

SOURCE: bike won't start

Check compression ratio and valves clearance. The carbs leak any fuel from their o-rings.Spray through the air box with a carb cleaner spray while pressing start button but little bit at a time.Don't twist the throttle too much and always use choke until she fires up for good.

SOURCE: my bike was running for a couple of minutes it shut off.

Could be too much fuel, not enough fuel, or not enough spark. Make sure your plugs are good and not fouled.

Where is the gas gage on 1998 valkyrie

There is no gas gauge. You have to set your trip mileage on the speedometer to 0 each time you fill up the gas hog. I go 80 miles before I have to switch the tank to reserve leaving maybe 20 miles left before walking. Don't even think about pushing that bike to the gas station just leave it. You will need a good insurance policy to protect against theft if you leave it unattended.

2000 honda valkyrie\r\n on hot days waiting in traffic or first thing after a good ride bike will stall almost like its out of gas any ideas.

that is unusall since this is a new bike, check your oil pressure? if low on oil pressure it will result in lack of supply of oil in the crank shaft. or check your fuel pump, usualy engine parts will not work normally in high temperature.check your oil

98 Honda Valkyrie Tourer, engine stalls after riding for a few miles. Engine will turn over after stalling, just no spark. After sitting for 10 minutes, engine fires and runs for a few minutes and stalls...

Check vacuum line from #6 intake runner (port side rear cylinder) to the fuel petcock valve. The valve is vacuum operated for safety. It cuts off fuel to the carbs when the engine is shutdown. Hose could be cracked or diaphram in valve is cracked. Easy to inspect the valve.
