Need wireing diagram for 1981 yamaha 400 special

Just got a 1981 yamaha out of the junkyard that started right up with fresh fuel and a little kicking. someone has been shopping parts off of it with wire cutters and the electric start doesn't work. also the main fuse in the fuse block gets REALLY hot.

Get the clymer yamaha motorcycle repair manual for 1981-2002. it will be twenty bucks well spent.

most book stores carry it or you can go to a motorcyle shop or on the internet at clymer.com

My 1981 yamaha 400 special will start, (sometimes) but will not stay running for more than a minute or so, any ideas?
Is there gas coming from the gas line? Its sounds like you need a new spark plug maybe even a carburetor cleaning. Thats my guess.

Lose power, backfires, stalls, pull choke out it will start and run for awhile, the next day it runs like no ones business, I do not understand 1981 yamaha 400 special II
clean the carbs, could also be something in the fueltank, also remove and clean the fuel tap.
When it stops next time turn the fuel tap to PRI, in case the fuel tap need a kit.
also open the tank cap to see if it has vacumn, the vent may be blocked
