I can start the bike but when I put it into gear it will die. No gear grind it just dies. Can you help?
Take a ohm meter and check the kickstand switch which should be near the upper end of the kickstand. Take the 2 wires(normally) loose and connect the ohm meter to the switch end of the wires or the connectors on the switch and check it for continuity. It should read 0 ohms in one direction and infinity (open) in the other. Take the readings with the kickstand up and then with the kickstand down. If it reads the same then the switch is bad.
Sounds like a kickstand safety switch that may be faulty or possibly unhooked, the best way too find out is to turn off your ignition of course then connect the two wires together, try starting your bike up and shift it into gear, If that works then you need too replace your stand switch, its not advised too run without your stand safety switch so replace it right away if it turns out faulty.

You can reset by disconnecting the battery for about half an hour, but the gaskets on the fuel system have been dry for a couple of months, and in turn have shrunk, this would cause the pressure to drop, and you may need to re-tighten all the screws on the feul pump, rail etc. Hope that helps!

The exhaust for the 2005 & 2007 are the same as the 2006. They all use the exact same parts and part numbers.

Your code reader is attached to your ecm located under tank use paper clip to a two wire loose to ecm this will give fault code on your odometer. With codes written down ask what is wrong from your dealer he will tell you what needed to be done. Once eveything fix codes will clear on your bike. enjoy the ride
