I bought a 94 Suzuki GSXR 750 that would not start after a new fuel pump was installed. After bringing it home I found they had also gotten into the carbs. I got it started after hooking up the gas lines correctly, but it still is not running right. It floods itself out under 2000rpm. It will run fine out on the road, but as soon as you let off the gas it floods. I know it is missing the carb diaphragm chamber air cleaner. I also came across a air solenoid valve on Ebay, mine does not have it, but I'm also not where it goes. I don't see a place for it and cannot find it in the manual. I'm overly frustrated with this bike.

Hi Chris,
You will have to recheck the float level (in the float chamber) of those two carburators, reset if necessary.
You may also have to reset the air-mixture screw for both of those carbs. Standard procedure to set htem is tighten them all the way in making sure not to over tighten to avoid damaging the sharp end of the screw, and thn to open 2 and a half to 3 turns.
You can thn reset them as the engine is running + -- either way.
Hope this helps!

The float is stuck open in the leaking carb. Remove the float bowl and clean the carb after removing the pin holding the float in place. While the float is out, shake it to see if gas has gotten inside it. If so, you will need a new float or will need to drain the float then re-solder it to seal it up again. To drain the float chances are you will need to drill a vent hole in it to allow the gas to drain. Just solder the vent closed when done.

Hi ,
The jets in the carbies will have to be replaced as they may have been temped with to give more fuel .
if the seats have been changed , the float will have to be reset as well to avoid too much fuel in the carbies .
The rust in the tank will have to be flushed out by filling it up with fuel and tip the tank out .
SOURCE: Flooding Carburetors,
Sounds like the carbs are gummed up,and the floats are stuck. The carbs will have to come off,be thoroughly cleaned, and the float levels reset, and synchronized.
