SOURCE: suzuki tl 1000 electric problems

OK, the first thing to do is check your fuse box for blown ignition fuse all motors in order to run must have fuel, air, fire, oil to operate. Since this bike was setting up for four months I recommend changing the oil and filters, empty and flush the gas tank remove any rust if present, your carburators will need servicing, empty and clean the bowls replace gaskets clean your jets, charge your battery replace it needed. Check your charging system (ie stator.) for proper voltage output replace if needed. check Automatic timing unit at the chank shaft on lower right side of the bike. this is needed for impulse signal to be sent to the coils to firng in seqence. If no fire at the spark plug the problem is either your ATU or your coils need replacing. Happy riding !!!

2000 acura tl shows misfire on all cylinders but car runs smoothly

check that the HT leads are separated and not touching each other. The misfire may be simply the spark being inducted into the plug with the least resistance and is random and that is what is setting off the light.

I have a TL 1000S 1997 and want to put a full fairing on it, the only one's I can find are for 1998 models, do they fit, or can you make them fit, or are there other available Thanks Dave

My workshop manual covers the one model from 1997 - 2001 with only slight engine differences. The fairing has no part number change, so I would say it should fit.
Hope that helps.

Purchased my 1997 TL 1000s at 12,000 km and went like a rocket until 22,000. Since then have had sparking problems with front cylinder - engine is missing and so on. Could it be the infamous ECU problem...

Not excited about typing in the problem then discovering that my credit card details were required. So went to see a guy who can fix these and all sorted. If you send me your credit card details I will tell you what the solution was.
