Check the fuel lines around the fuel pump for rot. The fuel pump needs a vacuum seal. That was one of the problems with ours. The other thing we figured out is it will stall if we don't use premium gas.Check the fuel lines around the fuel pump for rot. The fuel pump needs a vacuum seal. are u saying it shuts down or just stops heating? if it shuts down u may have bad motor windings and or brushes and motor is burning out if its stops heating that is usually due to bad moister sensor, cycling thermostat ( which would not usually shut appliance off though), short in heating element, defective hi limit thermostat etc and of course u already said u cleaned lint and ducts? including the blower? if its blocked with lint u have a shut off issue
If the compressor overheats, the clixon circuit will shut off the power to the motor to prevent damage. Then when it cools it will close the circuit and the compressor will again run to only shut down again.
The suction line going to the compressor should be cold - the cold gas returning to unit cools the hermetically sealed motor. If that line is hot you may be low on refrigerant.
Some cars have an 'afterblow' system. The blower will keep going for a few minutes to help get all the moisture out of the system. If it shuts off after a few minutes then this is normal.
You cant clean the HEPA filter.. only the blue washable pre filter.
Sounds like the motor is dead or atleast on its way out.
