Problems with suzuki sx4

I have a 2008 with a clutch and I am having problems with the clutch hydraulic system, this system is co-mingled with the brake hydraulics. No problems with the brakes so far but I have had leaking with the clutch fluid and have had 4 "O" rings replaced and another large seal replaced (past the master cylinder). MC is currently being replaced. The leaking has been fixed but I've had 4 incidents since Thanksgiving 3 requiring a tow and each time it is after the car is taken out on the highway for approx. and hour or so. The first few incidents there was no clutch fluid but that has been corrected. QT 1 Is replacing the master cylinder going to correct these problems on the highway (see later explanation) QT 2 Is there something else wrong, like a transmission needing replaced? Once I downshift from driving on the highway for over an hour, there is no clutch. When I pull off and stop the car to attempt to get the car in gear, the car won't even start. QT 3 Is this problem common to SX4?

2010, SWIFT IN WHAT COUNTRY , WHAT ENGINE?
We (usa) dont have them here. 2010
why ask us>? lacking books,

there are cares with a hydraulic clutch for, over 50 years
my 1964, British car had them.
and all fail, as do the worse cable clutches.
why in the world blame the transmission when you know the clutch is no good, (actuators)
why? confused
the MC if it leaks the MC is bad.
if the slave leaks it too is bad.
if any lines leak they are bad.
why not just fix it. and end the pain., odd. post.

you see its bad, and then delay.
why?>
why not find a REAL shop and get them to fix the clutch actuator system.

there is no clutch
no, you meant the CLUTCH will not DIS-ENGAGE
and is bad acuator,
if it leaks
or the slave fails to move 3/4 to 1inch, 25mm. stroke.
as seen here
this is our j18 /20 clutch
see odds and ends clutch here.
http://www.fixkick.com/videos/FLV-all/showtime.html#CLUTCH

see the SLAVE work. that is its only job.
to move, and mover correctly.
if it moves ok, and not leak
then the actual clutch is bad,, (i think not)

the MC for the clutch , fluid levels are dropping
hard fast proof this is failing , MC/Slave or both.
best is to replace both.

my guess this co-mingle words are shared fluid reservoir?
the fill jar? that is trivial if true.

SOURCE: suzuki grand vitara 1999 hydraulic cylinder

Hydraulic leaks are typically a result of seals/o-rings wearing out. If you gave a leak coming from the cylinder you will probably have to replace the cylinder. Unless you are can do the repair yourself its unlikely that you will find someone who can rebuild it for less than a new one costs

Going by your description I think it could be something different, I would have the brake master cylinder checked, if you are suffering brake failure and shuddering it sounds like your callipers arent getting equal pressure when you apply the brakes. Or a freat lack of pressure to suffer brake failure. I hope this helps.

Yes, if you need a little oomph out of the pedal, you can get a little more throw out of the adj rod, or you can get a little less, it doesn't take much to move a clutch. Depends on what the clutch is doing, chattering, slipping, grinding, not shifting. You know, that kind of stuff all gets different adj. Check it out.

SOURCE: hydraulic clutch fluid keeps emptying

If you can not see where it is going,
then the only place would be at the throw
out bearing,so you got to pull the transaxle out

How to adjust the hydraulic clutch on a 2005 Suzuki grand vitara 4x4

Hi Lain,

The Hydraulic clutch on your Grand Vitara is non adjustable.
The hydraulic cylinder will self adjust/position itself as the clutch wears.
If your clutch pedal friction point is high or clutch is slipping you will require a new clutch kit and flywheel machine.

Cheers.

Can you adjust a clutch on suzuki vitara 2.7

I think you will find the actuating system is hydraulic, hence not adjustable. There may however be some small adjustment on the rod which connects the clutch pedal to the clutch master cylinder to take the slop out of it. You would feel that kind of slop when you push the pedal down. Clutch is good for about 10 years of normal driving, so you are at 12 and it is time for a new clutch.

Have to change clutch plate on suzuki grand vitara ,its hard to put in gears

If it's hard to get into gear you should check the clutch is disengaging properly.
Before changing the clutch plate, check that the clutch throw-out is adjusted correctly and the actuating hydraulics/levers have the correct amount of travel.

There is no pressure in the clutch of my 2006 Suzuki Forenza.

Cable Operated Clutch:
Stretched, frayed or binding cable, broken or bent pedal bracket, or cracked firewall can be the cause. Problems with a cable mechanism will often herald internal clutch problems as well. When something happens inside the clutch that requires extra force to be exerted on the clutch pedal, things break! Cables can also wear simply from age and use.
Hydraulically Operated Clutch:
Clutch master cylinder leaking or bypassing pressure, slave cylinder leaking, clutch flex hose leaking, pedal bushings worn or missing, or a cracked firewall can reduce the system’s ability to disengage the clutch. Rule of thumb: If the clutch master cylinder is bad, replace both master and slave cylinders as a pair. This will save you future heartache.

Suzuki vitara91 model wont go into reverse

Either the clutch plates don't have sufficient clearance when the clutch pedal is pressed or they do have the clearance but are failing to separate.

Air in the hydraulic system, worn or maladjusted linkage or cable are the common causes of the first and oil/grease contamination or rusty splines the second scenario.
A failing clutch pilot bearing, if fitted, could also the symptom.
