you could try to siphon the gas out with a hose. careful, though, gas can be harmful or fatal if swallowed.

SOURCE: I want to drain my gas tank because it has 6 year gas in it.

If you remove the line just prior to the carberator or the fuel injection line then turn the key on you should get a flow of gas.

Any time you are working with open fuel and fumes it is dangerous so make sure the area you are working in is well ventilated.

SOURCE: Wanting to drain my gas tank on my (2002 Suzuki VL

You would need to unplug both lines..
One line is for "gas" the other is "reserve"..

The tank has two wells onside..

Have a great day !

SOURCE: I need to drain the gas tank on my 1998 Chev.

Unbolt the bed bolts, remove the tailgate, unplug the light harness, and unbolt the fuel filler where it bolts to the bedside and get a couple of buddies to lift off the bed. That way you don't have to drop or drain the tank. It's much faster, on my truck it's only four bolts and the bed is not that heavy.

Why should i drain the gas on my 2007 yzf r1 before removing the gas tank?

You do not have to. Just close the petcock so no fuel can drain out when removing the tank and keep the tank upright when removing.

I need to drain the old gas from the tank on a 1987 Yamaha fzx700 fazer . What is the best way to do that? Thanks

Remove the tank and hold it upside down. You will probably have to shake it as well as there is a ridge around the filler hole. Once you have got as much out as you can, you can remove the rest by blowing compressed air into the tank to evaporate the remainder of the gas. Removing the fuel tap will also drain out much of the fuel, but there is always the problem of the fuel on the other side of the frame recess. If the fuel in the tank is very old, rinse the tanks several times with fresh fuel before you start the engine. You will probably have to strip and clean the carbs out and replace all the rubber parts and gaskets as well as fuel turns to gum if left standing too long.

How do i drain old gas from the motorcycle

you will need to remove ur seat in order to get to the bolt or clip down that holds the rear of the petrol tank to frame.make sure the fuel tap is off & remove the fuel line going from tank to carburator then remove tank & empty the old gas out.there should also be a drain bung/bolt on bottom of ur carburator bowl, undo this let all gas empty out, then re-tighten & then reverse steps to put tank back on.Fill with fresh gas try start, check for any leaks & should be good to go!

Can Old gas may my motorcycle run rough and not idle?

Old gas will most certainly make the bike act up and idle bad. Drain the tank and refill with fresh gas, if it doesent run better after a few miles you will have to clean the carbs.

Buy a gas can and pull hose off fuel filter and put it on reserve and let er rip. then drain all the float bowls bowls too! Buy some seafoam and add a little to your tank to clean out the vanish.
